Sandburn Hall

1 group let me play through. A 3 ball seen me waiting on every hole from the 5th and were never going to let me play through. And after the 9th they became a 4 ball . ??? And still wouldn’t call me through. Poor etiquette but not the club’s fault. Course , pro shop and bar cafe all excellent

Anyone helped me around where was 1st hole toward there. I wanted shower. I asked anyone helped me. There is good condition any no problems. thanks anyone very much

Great course in very good condition, greens in great condition

The course has matured since I last played here. For a newish course it is in very good condition.

Well worth a round or two

My first time playing Sandburn although my partner has been many times. Course in wonderful condition with fast greens and perfect fairways. Such a pleasant change to have good quality, well positioned ladies tees which, at other courses, can often appear to be an afterthought. Thoroughly enjoyed our round and even though group in front were very slow they did eventually let us play through. Will definitely be back.

Excellent condition greens a star hospitality first class

Good course with generous width fairways and well kept.

Played as a three ball in the middle of a club competition the speed of the round was great no waiting at any hole and no one waiting behind. The course was in great shape other than a few areas of GUR and the greens were well looked after. We all enjoyed our round and would certainly look to book again in the future.

This course is up there with the best in and around York. 6400yds off the yellows is a good test but the wide fairways mean the driver can be used on most 4’s & 5’s. The greens were great for this time of the year, fast and true. There is a bit of winter weather damage but another month should sort that out. We’ll be returning even though it’s a 60 mile round trip

Really good day, group ahead were very slow, which while not spoiling the day did mean waiting on most tees. Which in a chilly wind was no fun. The group Teed off about 20mins before us and we were a four ball so hard to understand why they were so slow. However good course with some long tricky holes. good greens and obviously well looked after

Played as a 3-ball, not long after 2021 lockdown. Set-up and service in bar & shop were very good, everyone helpful and courteous.

The course is, in a nutshell, long, flat and boring - fairways and greens were top-quality, bunkers reasonable. Extensive crow damage due to chafer grub, all off-fairway, and greens staff battling this as we played.

Hats off to the workforce at Sandburn, they work hard to keep customers happy, but the landscape will always make it a pretty ordinary round of golf.

First time at sandburn.Excellent course .Very enjoyable afternoon will definitely return .
