Sapey Golf Club - Rowan Course

Stunning greens , pefect roll and true, Consistency throughout course exemplary. The green keeper deserves a free days holiday. Definitely recommend and will come again.

First visit to Sapey Golf Club this year and all of our party agreed how good a condition the course was in.

This course is gem and excellent value for money.

Have played this course many times over the last couple of years, an extremely enjoyable golf course.

**BUT PLEASE BE ADVISED**

If you drive here and park in the car park, take several photos of all the cars parked around you, in case anything happens to your vehicle, whilst your playing. Its a very small tight car park.

It just so happens that when ever anything happens the video cant be played back for some reason. They have an extensive 37 camera setup with crystal clear picture quality. Your relatively cheap game of golf could become very expensive. I wonder if anything happened to club property they would work?

I assume that the liability of the members takes all precedent over your valuable personal items that you take there. The attached photo is of a 22 plate Kia not 2 weeks old, now with someone else's paint work on it and substantially damaged , and low and behold nobody apparently witnessed the event and surprise surprise the cameras wont play back.

The 'so called' 9 hole par 3 Oaks course is in breach of the Trade Descriptions Act. It is no longer a pleasant par 3 - as it was when last played it in 2019 - but a shabby, unkempt and derelict piece of wasteland masquerading a golf course. Thankfully the club were prepared to reimburse our green fees.

I know it has been wet lately but I thought the course looked scruffy and needed some TLC. The bunkers had not been raked for sometime and some could do with more sand. There was a lot of small branches around and in general the course needed tidying up. They are putting new drains in which will help.

Great course in brilliant condition for the time of year. Lovely staff as well.

Some absolutely stunning holes in beautiful surroundings. Course in great condition considering it's January. Looking forward to going back, especially on summer evenings.

Played this course mostly end of summer and really enjoyed it. Looked to book a four ball on the 3rd of Jan called pro shop and asked the questions are you on temps answer no all greens in play , how are the conditions ? Answer a little wet in places no buggies but trollies in use , thought great and booked £32 a player , we rocked up on the next day nothing had changed according to the pro , but we were in for a surprise the tee box’s , fair ways and greens were as good as unplayable the course should of been closed full stop shocking , I take it green fees are more important then ripping up the course for the members I would be fuming as a member , we all deserve a full refund or a free return I wait for a response , as we couldn’t speak to pro as shop was closed when we came off

Was a nice layed out track but it should not have been open in our opinion fairways were waterlogged and the greens were that fluffed up slow is not the word to describe it , course should have been closed

The course is good, just was disappointed that 2 holes were closed due to drainage. Would of been nice to be told at the point of booking.

Haven’t been here for a good year or so but the course was in great condition and the greens were fantastic!! Well done the Sapey team!!

Really enjoyed the course, only down side was that holes 15 & 16 were having drainage works done. The staff were all extremely helpful. Will return.

4 of us played having not done so for over 20 years. Great value on golfnow deal. Marked as 4 star not 5 as pace was very slow due to society in front and all way round waiting on every tee with sometimes 2 groups in front of us also waiting, in addition 2 holes closed due to course work. Overall though course was in excellent condition and we will definitely return .

I have played this course a several times since discovering it a few months ago. Course condition is amazing, from tee to green it is first class. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this to all golfers. It is well worth a visit.
