The course layout. Photo submitted by arc1886 on 09/19/2021
Must go again soon.
Due to the heavy rain the part of the course on the other side of the road was closed. It made no difference however as we played 20 holes on the coast side. The course was in great condition, the greens were immaculate and some of the holes are just stunning.
Great Course
First time playing a links course and really enjoyed it. Was really heavy rain the night before playing but the course was still in excellent condition even after all the heavy rain. Fairways in great condition and the greens were lightning fast. Will defo hopefully be back at some point to play this course again.
Good value.
Excellent tees and greens, fairways good. Played on a calm, sunny, quiet afternoon. Course not the longest but tricky on occasions. A couple of crossover fairways where you need to be careful of others. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great views
Played this course twice now some distance apart and it’s still tricky to navigate some of the criss cross holes. When busy I suspect this will be a bit of a hold up
From hole 10 onwards you are treated to some great coastal holes that aren’t overly long but with a bit of wind can be a real challenge
Quirky in a Great Way
There are some fairly plain holes, and a little confusing with shared fairways and if you are not switched on you could even play to the wrong green, however a big pay off comes with the back nine, playing over the bay then along the cliff tops with stunning views rolling natural links and very good greens. More par threes than usual, but one or two tough par 4's and 1 par 5. They are blessed with a great patch of natural rolling, contoured land that if the whole course was like it, mere mortals wouldn't be allowed to step foot upon it. It would be invitation only! So on the whole, and considering the poor weather, it was well worth it.
A nice mix
Played a few times now as we enjoy the lovely views and variety with some tricky testing hole’s especially on the day we played with very strong winds. A bit confusing with the 9th and 18th tees and greens as the fairways.swap over so need to remember. Good value golf and welcoming clubhouse. . .
Great features!
Excellent cause beautiful scenery a lot of crossover holes some very spectacular holes well worth playing!
Seahouses golf club
Course in excellent condition considering the long dry period the area has experienced. Greenkeepers busy on the course but not interfering with play. Greens in first class order and whilst not easy to read they are a fair test. Most welcoming club.
Well kept course dry underfoot unfortunately we played behind an outing of 16 gents so pace of play very slow in the cold wind. Would love to play again in the summer
Excellent catering
Some good, some not so good
The back 9 along the coastline is spectacular and really enjoyable to play, it’s unfortunately let down by a rather flat front 9 on a field across the main road where fairways cross when no need to creating unnecessary delays and waiting.
In great nick
In great nick as usual, strong wind but didn’t spoil game.
Awesome
Thoroughly enjoyed a clubhouse lunch with friendly and helpful staff. Then a fun our afternoon playing the course. The outward half was pleasant with its challenges but the inward half was much more taxing especially the Loch and Cove holes. Stunning afternoon weather wise snd amazing seascape scenery. Would love a return visit now that I know the layout of the course.
