Absolutely stunning condition considering we played in late December, course is getting better every year. Green complexes were all closely mown and greens running true. No winter greens and no fairway matts.

We played mainly from forward tee's with matt's on some tee boxes but still easily tee the ball up no problem. Putting and chipping greens are great. No range or netts as yet.

Epic wonderful

Late in the year water on the greens. It was firm under foot. Greens had pace and rolled true. 2 holes off but understandably with the weather.

excellent

Loved it, great course. You need facilities to clean your buggy and shoes at the end. And I asked the women when I arrived where the 1st hole was and she said she didn't know which wasn't great. Overall loved the course and I'll definitely be back.

Great Links golf

First impressions were that the course had great facilities as the clubhouse was busy with mom golf members who had been walking the dunes having either coffee before my round and when finished had lunch customers. The course was well layed out and the views were amazing especially those in which were facing towards the castle. Personally my favourite was the short par 3 13th due to the views but also add risk of the public footpath was below and to your left of the green and added and element of needed to get ot over and on the green. Would highly recommend for any visitors to Northumberland who love playing links golf and want good value for money.

What a stunning golf course!!

Wonderful course!! Condition of the greens is spectacular, the rest of the course follows suit. Views are beautiful, was there very early, first away in fact, so the green keeps qere still out, and I had the misfortune of the sandy greens. However, this did not spoil my enjoyment of this course. Some amazing holes, the 13th par 3 is lovely.

On the whole, a great course, fantastic condition, brilliant tee boxes and greens. Well worth the greens fee.

Simply didn’t live up to the high review ratings

I didn’t enjoy this course for a combination of reasons. First access and parking is very restrictive, essentially the clubhouse is a kind of beach cafe at the end of a single track road. Next, golf check in is handled by the staff taking food orders, so I had to wait in a queue of people ordering tables full of lunch, before I could confirm my tee off.

The setting of the course itself is promising suggesting a fine grass links, unfortunately this was not the reality at the time of play. The grass (the little of it that remained on the fairways) is tough thick blade and grainy. This characteristic extends to the greens as well, while they had consistent even growth the grain in the grass type meant the ball took some seemingly impossible breaks.

The terrain is strongly undulating with some very steep climbs and descents. The views of the castle ruins early in the back nine are dramatic.

Unfortunately a very disappointing day.

Simply Beautiful

Stunning course, iv seen a few videos and recommended by a friend about the course. Playing off 15HC I thought this would be a nice challenging course…. Oh boy was it! 30mph gusts of wind with an average of around 20mph it took some getting use to. Taking drives from 250-260 to 200 at a push!

Greens are amazing. It’s like putting on carpet! Fairway bunkers are a little hard with not too much sand in (fairway) and luckily didn’t end up in any green side ones.

Keep an eye on the ball as this time of year (September) the dry grass and lowering sun is tough to spot a ball landing.

Would 100% go again just for the views alone… golf, when the wind is a little less harsh and at a steal of a price at £20 early morning… well worth the 4:15am wake up.

Stunning coastal course

Beautiful views on a challenging course on a particularly sunny day. Very friendly members and helpful staff.

Course was in good condition given the long hot summer and the greens were really impressive and ran true.

Fun to play

Really enjoyed the course. Course management was key in a strong wind. Club selection into the wind was challenging. Greens were true and had some interesting borrows, even on short putts.

Dunstanburgh Links Course

A stunningly beautiful course with some challenging holes and exceptional scenery.

Accuracy was a must on this undulating links course with deep rough and bunkers, although the beautiful summers afternoon was a must for golfing 🏌️

After play facilities

A great course, lots of challenges. Well done for the condition of the greens especially.

The only let down was no toilets available at the end of nearly 5 hours out on the course. The clubhouse was shut and no alternatives were provided.
