Great location
The course would benefit from clearer signage as it is very unclear which direction the greens are from most holes due the hilly nature of the course. The greens were rather bobbly but overall we had a great game.
Great 9 hole course
Lovely 9 hole course with stunning views over the coast. The course can be played as an 18 holer. It’s a tricky links course with some testing holes and it’s in good condition. Physically it could possibly be difficult for those with mobility issues. And I don’t think buggies are available so it’s worth bearing that in mind. It has a good club house but I’m not sure if food is served. I’ve played it a few times now and always enjoyed it. I would certainly recommend it.
Winter layout is very slow
Second time I’ve played this course. It’s a lovely course set right on the beach with beautiful views. Considering the time of year the course is in amazing condition. Winter tees are in play which changes the complexion (severely on some holes).
However the pace was horrifically slow. So much so that after 11 holes we walked off. It’s only 9 hole course that you play twice and the congestion was awful.
Mixed Bag
Nice course, stunning location. Greens were excellent.
Bit of an issue when playing the second 9 holes as you just have to wait until the 1st tee has cleared even if there is a queue.
It would be a much better experience if they let one group of the first then one off the 10th in a zipper approach or give people 2 tees times.
The club house was closed when we arrived so can't comment on the facilities.

Great 9 holes, a good links test
Great course with doe challenging holes, especially the 3rd. One point to note is that GolfNow booking states for 18 holes, but is actually only for 9 as we discovered when trying to slot back in, we had to join up to play on as 1st was booked up.
Holiday Golf at Hidden Gem
What a delightful little course. Short but tricky in the wind. Amazing views. Friendly staff. I’d definitely play it again.
Great course
Very friendly people made to feel welcomed great conditions and course was superb
Great course with beautiful views.
One of my favourite courses. It’s only got 9 holes but they are quite long and testing. Everyone I met there was friendly and it has a nice club house. It’s fairly physical with a couple of hills to climb and I don’t think they have buggies. So you need a degree of fitness. Course was in good condition and greens were great.
Superb Northumberland Course
Played 4 ball here and it was great fun. Not too long a course but plenty of challenges along the way. Considering there had been a lot of rain in the week prior this was very dry and in excellent condition. Would definitely play here again!

Windy and cold for our round - typical Northumberland weather! Enjoyed playing the course - well worth a visit if you are in the area. First 3 holes are tight and can be a bit tricky - especially when the wind is blowing. Views out across the coast are spectacular. Only negative is that the course is suffering a bit from rabbit burrowing damage in places but I'm guessing that triple SSI status makes it difficult to control some aspects of course management due to restrictions. Staff not rated as there was no one on duty when we played [not a problem as the course relies on an "honesty box" system when staff aren't around and there are lots of nearby opportunities to obtain refreshments in the nearby towns of Warkworth and Amble].

First time at the venue. No-one around at the clubhouse, and honesty box for 'pay and play' golfers ! We spoke to locals to get some idea of the layout, and the 2 tee system. All very friendly and encouraging.
The course did not disappoint, even though we had no idea where we were heading some of the time. Some interesting blind shots, and a ravine to negotiate with members of the public walking below for extra spice.
Great little course.
So windy ....have to try it on a better day
We had gale force winds which made some holes just about unplayable for a novice golfer! The greens were quick and true, other than the wind!! Great scenery, will definitely play here again!
