Was pleasantly surprised with the greens as read a couple of reviews prior to playing that said conditions were poor. Surfaces were good just a little slow. Overall enjoyable day

I love playing here! It’s a great course, in really good condition, I’m surprised it’s not busier! But that’s one of the things I like about it!

● played this course once before and was bad then but we thought we should give it a 2nd chance. Not getting a 3rd

● couldn't get tee's in mats

● greens full of holes and not replaced pitch marks and not cut same cut as the fairways

● overpriced (27.00 pp)

● slow play waiting on every hole

● my play partner was close to getting hit from the group behind twice, because they was too impatient when we couldn't go any faster due to group infront.

If you want to play an overpriced, poor looked after golf course that just cares about money then go to shaw hill you will be disappointed!

I understand changes need to be made at winter but to charge £25 when you have to play off mats in the fairway and tee off from poor mats like at a par 3 is really poor. This wasn't the same at other courses we have played recently. Considering there hasn't been lots of rain recently the course was extremely boggy in places and some of the greens (18th in particular) were poor for the price. The worst of it you had to pay £2 each for the mats to protect their course, which we didn't get at all especially when they're charging £25 for a course that's not in great condition anyway in places, so left a sour taste. Might try again in the summer but never again at any other time of the year. Real shame.

Course was in great condition with extremely fast greens. Interesting layout and a real challenge.

Paid £35 for this round and must say the course isn’t looking good. £20 per round would of been more realistic. The tee areas were in need of some TLC and the course wasn’t well maintained. We haven’t played it for a while and won’t be playing again unless it’s £25 or less..

Shaw Hill is a fantastic tactical course where you have to choose you're clubs and shots wisely to avoid hazards.

It was my first time playing the course and it was throughly enjoyable and I look forward to playing it again in the near future.

Every hole has its own character which made the whole round interesting and fun.

A top course well manicured, with some tricky holes.

Friendly staff, and top facilities makes Shaw Hill a great place to enjoy your golf.
