Definitely recommend this course to any golfer. Full of challenges and the setting and views all around are incredible.

Interesting course which winds it’s way up the valley and then back down again. Some lovely views down towards the sea. Small tricky greens with plenty of scope to overshoot… it’s definitely a bit of a workout, but I did enjoy it.

Yes some challenging slopes but a lovely course to play with great views as well and a very friendly club.

The man working in the club house was lovely. Made us feel very welcome at the course, on what was our first visit!

I've played this course many times - in fact I have a love-hate relationship with it. Nice to have a bit of roll again though after the wet season. Good condition and some greens reached in regulation!

Course is hilly but well worth the challenge, with beautiful views and very friendly staff.

Played in the pouring rain with flooded greens and still rate everything as 5 stars, can not wait to go back again, the staff were really welcoming.

Surprised all the greens were open after the rain lately - helped my putting immensely! Tee'd off at 1.40pm, but didn't complete the round before the light became too dim. Played 12 out of 15 pretty well. Handicap 21.

Sidmouth is a great course with lovely views and some challenging holes. The front 9 is the harder 9 as you make your way up the valley and the back 9 is an easier walk with some short par 4's and in my view much more scoreable. Course condition was excellent and staff / members friendly and helpful.

All in all a great experience and will certainly return

Sidmouth was an enjoyable test of golf but for visitors I would stress the need for a reasonable level of fitness because some of the homes (predominantly on the front 9) are quite steeply uphill.

The course was presented in great condition with receptive greens that were very slippery above the hole.

Breathtaking which is just as well as taking in breath will be very necessary by this point!!

The best holes are on the back nine with the 13th being my favourite. Don’t be fooled by the apparent lack of yardage as the topography renders this meaningless.

I would need to play the course s few times to pass sensible judgment because it’s an unusual test and my game was not up to it on the day but I certainly enjoyed my visit.

We played the first hole in the last shower of the day after which it was a gorgeous sunny autumn afternoon.

The course was a lot more picturesque than I was expecting, maybe the website could do with some fresh pictures because it was just stunning in places.

The greens were in good nick, if a little slow which took some getting used to but it had been very wet in the morning.

Most of the par 3’s of which there are quite a few, we’re quite difficult and with quite a few blind shots it was a good test, especially for the first timer.

All in all the course was in good condition and we got round in less than 3 - 1/2 hours.

The staff were very friendly and a nice pint was enjoyed on the sunny balcony.

Will return.
