Wide open parkland delight

If you need plenty of room in amongst some ancient oaks this course is good fun. Strange mix of par 5s and par 3s especially when the first par 3 you come across is 200+ yards and narrowest green ever and then most of the others are 100 yards pitch n putt.

Enjoyed it though as some cracking holes. Greens a little slow but generally in good condition. Would definitely play again

Very enjoyable experience

Played on this course a few times before, and each time I'm even more impressed than the last. We played on a lovely sunny evening with very few players around, and it was like playing abroad. The greens were in tip top condition although a little slow, and the fairways were well defined and neatly mown. We finished around 9pm and the very friendly staff were only too pleased to serve us and stay behind whilst we finished our drinks. Thankyou for a very enjoyable experience !

Great to be out again

Not the most challenging course but great for a golf game workout.

The fairways are generous but the greens are sometimes small and mostly quite tricky.

At this time the greens were not in the best condition, probably due partly to the time of year and the testing weather conditions in recent weeks.

The staff are very helpful and the club's approach to Covid seems to be working well.

Lovely course, bumpy greens

Play here quite regularly. A good challenging course with some tough holes. The only disappointment was the condition of the greens. They were very bumpy. Hopefully a few weeks of work will get them sorted.

A lovely course in a great location. Forgiving for an amateur golfer but not without its challenges. I will be definitely returning

Good course - poor greens

We enjoyed our day, however, let down by the condition of the greens. Very lumpy and inconsistent.

Only let down by the greens

Really enjoy this course, the layout is good. It is forgiving but still challenging to score well. Greens were pretty bumpy, this may be due to staff levels while the course was closed in the first part of the year.

An interesting course layout

The course was very wet in places but given the amount of rain we'd had this was understandable. The majority of the course was still enjoyable and well playable with the exception of some of the greens on the front nine which were squealching under foot and plugging the ball quite badly.

Some great holes

Played on Tuesday 25th Aug

We called in unexpectedly and were given a tee time straight away, it was very windy so possibly the reason why it was quiet. Lovely course, some very memorable holes, really enjoyed the afternoon.

Well worth the money and played the course again on the Thursday morning.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, couldn't do enough for us, thanks, will definitely be back.
