Nice course layout a bit scorched but you would expect that with the weather conditions we have had. Greens were ok though

Poor Course

18th green and putting green were best greens on course, coincidentally located outside clubhouse for people to visibly see. Rest of the course could only simply be compared to Baghdad after USA visited for a holiday. Rubbish.

Tee were simply non existent, and greens had more bumps in them than the roads heading to the course.

The clubhouse and pro golf shop is however one of the best I’ve seen. But don’t visit the course.

Not a bad course but needs some TLC

Great layout, challenging in areas which is nice. Greens need work desperately and tee boxes are like playing off sand. Rest of course is nice

Avoid if possible

Greens were patchy and bobbly. Tee boxes were uneven mounds of dirt/sand with minimal grass on them. I assume they don't have sprinklers or they don't work because the grass was pretty non existent around the greens, I can understand the fairways being a bit bare but the areas around some of the greens were borderline unplayable. A shame really because the course offers a nice challenge and shows a lot of potential. Wouldn't recommend for £20, never mind the £35 we paid. Avoid if you can until they give the course some TLC.

Disappointing greens and tee boxes

A course that has clear potential, well laid out with lots of different challenges and shot selections required. Unfortunately the course conditions, primarily the green and tee boxes, were on the whole quite poor.. I heard afterwards that their green keeper had left (not sure if correct) and they’d struggled to replace…. This certainly seems to be case. It didn’t ruin our afternoon, but it definitely was disaapointing.. A real shame as the course lay out and facilities (great clubhouse!) deserve better.

Nice day with granddaughter.

The tees wrte pretty scabby.

Could do with better signage with regard to moving from green to next tee..

Overall, course wasn't in bad shape given the lack of rain in these parts.

Very disappointed

I used to be a member of Styrup just before lockdown and the course was ok the old owners never wanted to spend money on it but always kept it decent since the new owners have taken over they have invested a lot done some works to the course to help with drainage but that’s where it stops the rest of the money has been spent on the club house which is stunning but the course was really poor not seen a drop of water except the rain the greens were cracking and the surround were patching and looks aweful worst of all was the price £35 to play that and the poor member have seen an increase think the owners needs a re think

Great value for money

Course was well maintained and reasonably priced. The par 5 over 600 yards is a challenge and the pro shop bar and facilities are great. Would highly recommend

Poor greens and pace of place unbelievably slow.

Played today in a party of 8 and most of us walked off after 9 holes. 2 hours in and we were waiting 20 minutes on the 7th tee for the groups ahead who were always in the trees looking for balls with no care in the world for anyone behind them. When we played the 9th we walked past the 10th tee to see a group of 6 on that hole who had even been held up by a four ball in front of them. The greens are also in poor condition especially on the front 9. A shame really as we've played this course for a number of years now but it really has gone down hill this year. We won't be back in a hurry.

Do NOT waste your money

The most abysmal I've seen the course.

I used to play it every month or so and it used to be a great course. Was always busy but when you did get on it was worth it. Now? DONT BOTHER

Greens are the worst I've ever seen on any golf course

Tees are dead

No definition to anything so you don't know if you are on the fairway, the rough or around the green

Don't know what has happened to this place since last year but it's gone from a hidden gem to somewhere I'll never return to

Nice course, Poor greens

The course layout is quite good, but the greens let the course down. They are very bumpy and have not been looked after well. I understand the lack of rain can cause damage, but compared to other courses they are in poor condition.

Poor condition. No staff. Some odd holes.

Arrived at 7am for a 7:24 tee time. Clubhouse and proshop were closed. Driving range was also closed. Tee boxes were rough, uneven with lots of existing divots are some hardly had any grass. Greens were in poor condition, even for the time of year. Only saving grace was that they weren't temp greens. A 720 yard par five is bizarre, even in this modern era of 300+ yard drives. Some of the bunkers had minimal sand and hadn't been raked. For £30, I expected better. Looked and played like a municipal course.

Lovely course

Course is lovely unfortunately wasn't told about temp greens being on but didn't spoil our round the only thing that spoilt it was the 3ball in front that we caught up on the 9th

They see a 2ball behind standing in the fairway waiting for them.to clear the green then decide to fish balls out of the stream at the side of the green 🙄

Will definitely play course again tho so not letting that put us off 👍

Amazing

For the time of year was in amazing condition. Fairways were great, bunkers really good and greens great. Only downside which isn't the courses fault was amount of pitch marks I had to repair on every green. Just lazy golfers not doing it.
