Crookhill Park Golf Club

Although the greens had a few patches under repair and damaged from moles(can’t be helped) we enjoyed the course.Tee boxes weren’t the best,but the recent weather hasn’t helped.General condition of the course was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the round.Great value for money if you don’t want to spend too much.Look forward to going again soon 👍🙂

First time of playing this course

So I’ll start by saying the staff were very helpful and informative about the course

Set in very nice surroundings peaceful and full of wildlife

Pros

Great fairways and very challenging

Greens are I’ll say ok all are in different stages of wear

Tee boxes are the same

Cons

Unfortunately due the weather we are having this year all the courses are having the same issue dry heat which is killing the fairways, nothing can be done about that.

Greens in my opinion should be priority for watering to keep them hydrated in turn will help game play

Other than the above I would recommend this course for sure

Once the weather cools and we have plenty of rain to start the growth it will be a great course…

This course is excellent, some really good holes and the fairways were lovely and short. I would recommend this course to anybody, good for beginners with some really hard holes.

The course was really challenging with good wide fairways, a good course for all golfers. Will definitely play there again, good value for money, I would recommend this course to all my golfing friends.

Great place. Yes there are trees but they are kept well with no problem to the golfer. Lovely long holes and great scenery. A little secluded to get to and we almost turned round at the closed gate but had a great day at this golf course.

Value for money is good. However the tee boxes and greens are poor quality, what you'd expect from a park course. Round kind of spoilt by a four ball of old boys playing slower than coastal erosion.

First time here and the members are welcoming. Course is apparently on the way up after a real effort by new staff and management. Get involved, as the holes are varied and memorable.

Helpful and welcoming staff guided us to the shop, confirmed our booking and ensured we knew our way to the first tee, we arrived early and as the tee was empty were free to go when we were ready,, enjoyable round on a course which is a bit of a hidden gem, some challenging holes and quite undulating,, great for the low green fee !! Will be returning soon,

Enjoyed the round. Some long holes, but lovely contouring with decent carry.

Difficult for a beginner I would say. Fairly hilly, and you know that you’ve done 18 holes when your finished.

Well worth £13 if I was being picky greens are a bit patchy.

Took over an hour to get there due to lovely road dressing both in Wadworth and around the Crookhill road making me late and annoyed lol! I was allowed on course despite missing my tee time- thanks to considerate staff!

Only the 1st was on temp, Rest of greens in play, they were true and only hope all itches marks are treated as they occur otherwise these greens will really struggle. They were on the verge of being parched even at this early stage off the Spring!

Fairways were really dry and consequently contributed to a good carry throughout. They were in good condition and nicely cut.

Unfortunately the tee boxes were not in very good shape especially hole 3 and a small handful of others. Whilst this phenomena did not affect the tee off you have to be careful where you place your ball!

I play here at least twice per annum- I will be back and the round took less than 2.5 hours on a quiet Friday afternoon- thanks

Had a good round on Crookhill golf course, early morning set off so not busy at all.

Will return and play again.

Few niggles but on the whole really enjoyed it will get better with some nicer weather nice to see the coarse getting looked after was in decline for a while but you can see its on its way back to being a great golf course

For the the weather we've had since December. ( a lot of rain) it played really well. Greens was in really good condition. Well done to green keeper
