A decent challenge
For the time of year the course was in good condition and seems to have taken all the heavy rain really well. Lots of interesting slopes and angles around the greens lead to challenge approach shots.

We are sorry to see that you felt the pace of play was poor. The weather was superb at the weekend for the first time in a long while and we became very busy on the day of play. The majority of tee times were 4 balls so it was being played at a 4 ball pace. We had a starter and marshals going round the course to keep things moving and a refreshment cart providing drinks to golfers also. We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you for your review! We hope to get a 5* for your next visit.
Got a great deal on golf now, but was a socitey day in front very slow pac nearly 5hrs

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you had a good time playing the course. Feel free to contact us direct before booking to check the tee sheet as we do have societies playing from time to time. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Superb Greens!!
I don't know how they keep doing it but given the recent wet weather this course was in great condition! I have played here a number of times in all weather and it just holds up so well. No temp greens or tees unlike a lot of other courses I have played. Great course and fairly priced to what other places are charging. I would recommend to anyone!

Thank you for your 5* review, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Clay town
If this was a location it would be a roundabout in Milton Keynes. If it were a jewellers it would be Argos. An airport, Stanstead, not Luton that would be unfair. Just meh. Funny thing is it hadn't rained for four days but the course was sodden. Bunkers literally knee deep in water. Mud everywhere. And carry only. No fun. Surely someone said "no we cant build a course on this mound of clay" but they did. Someone give Angela Reynor a call there is 200 acres of mud she can slap her council house on. A truly forgetful slippery, filthy, dull day out.

We are sorry to see your review and what we see as unfair comments. We experienced one of the wettest Decembers on record and there were not many days where the country did not experience any rainfall at all. There would have been many golf courses across the county and nationwide which would have been closed or operating temporary greens and tees due to the weather. We were fully open and you were playing from grass surfaces. Our course is built on chalk NOT clay and is one of the best draining courses in the area. Naturally there are going to be areas which are wet due to the conditions and it being winter. However, the tees, fairways and the greens were in great condition given the circumstances. Trolley bans are put in place to help protect the course so that the playing surfaces and high traffic areas are not churned up by trolleys and the people using them, this is an industry standard. You are welcome to come back in the spring /summer when there will hopefully be less rain and more favourable conditions for you to play in.

Thank you for your review! We are very busy at the weekends but our course is marshalled and we have a starter making sure that all golfers have teed off on time and the golf course is kept moving. We would recommend that customers book a 3 or 4 ball at the weekends as we do pair up our bookings and anything less will find it slower against a 4 ball pace. We hope that we will see you again soon.

Thank you for your 5* review! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Overbooked
4 groups waiting on tee 1 right from the get go, far too many four balls for time and space

Great course, too many children on fairway
This course was a joy to play, lots of interesting topographical features and wonderful elevations. The greens were really well kept as was the course in general. Tee time was behind a small society (9 players) so play was painfully slow at times leading to the group behind in buggies rolling up on the tees when we were on our drives which was off putting and poor etiquette.
Another downside on the day was the number of unattended children fishing in the water hazards and moving around the fairways. This resulted in several dropped shots whilst trying to avoid hitting them with a stray drive or iron shot. Temporary hazards aside, I really enjoyed playing this wonderful course.
Two Ball At Surrey National
First time at this course. What a beauty! Really enjoyed the course and hope to return. The chap in the Pro Shop was very helpful and gave us some tips. There weren't any ladies items in the shop - but I understand that there aren't many lady members. The gentlemen on the course were very pleasant, and let us play through.
The greens were challenging with interesting curves to manoeuvre. Yep, lost a couple of balls in the water!
We were blessed with stunning sunshine, the greens and fairways were perfectly kept. Very impressed and will return with my husband at some point.
No dull holes
Every hole is unique, very hilly, nice open fairways so playable and interesting for all levels.
Decent
Some interesting holes on front 9.
Decent range/ practice facilities.
Very hilly course - will get a buggy next time
Well maintained and forgiving course
A very enjoyable four-ball on a perfect summer's day. The holes do encroach on each other, so there a more shouts of "fore!" than I'm used to, but the fairways and greens were well looked after and the rough was more than manageable. Will definitely play again when back in Surrey.
Great condition, poor pace of play
Course was in fantastic condition, the layout was great, greens true, albeit needing a cut therefore a little slow. Fairways impeccable! One of the best courses we've played in the last few months (considering we've played 8 different courses already this month)
Unfortunately, when we booked I was notified that if we were to book as a 2 or 3 then we would be paired up with others. Wish the club actually enforced that rule, we had 2 x 2 balls in front of us (surely they should have been made to make up a 4 ball), we were waiting on tee boxes, 4,5,6,9,11,12,13,15,17 & 18 for over 6mins to tee off. We had to endure a 5hr 47min round. We had 2 x 3 balls.and we had 2 x 4 balls behind us waiting as well.
Course
An absolute treat to play .It's a course worth playing a few times as it challenging from every tee box ..
