Swaffham Golf Club

All the staff & the members, that we met, we're so very welcoming and friendly. The course was in an excellent condition with spectacular views. The undulating fairways and greens proved challenging. Would highly rate the course. Also, we ate lunch prior to play and it was lovely & our Coeliac friend was well catered for.

Good course. Well maintained. Well designed. Looking forward to reurning.

Nice golf course to play and friendly staff well worth a visit

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Swaffham Golf Club. It is an attractive course and a fair test of golf. The greens had just been hollow-tined and dressed, but the overall quality and playability of the course was excellent. Everybody we met were friendly and helpful. The food on offer was of good quality, well presented, and represented good value for money. We would recommend Swaffham Golf Club to anybody.

Played after 3pm so payed twilight prices (£30 each) that’s about all I would pay to play. In my opinion definitely not a £60 a round peak times course. Have played cheaper courses with better greens and bunkers. Not sure if I would play again.

Great course with some of the best kept greens I've seen. Really enjoyed playing Swaffham. Will be back for sure. For anyone reading this and maybe playing for the first time, the greens are fast. Really fast!

Some of the Tee boxes could do with some Tlc but recommend a visit for a round!

Stayed in the local area and decided to play here. What an excellent club. The course was in great condition. Some tough holes, but all fair. The greens were fast and true. All in all great value for money especially with the GOLFNOW app.

Great practice areas, friendly staff, beautiful course (only played the Valley course) and a good test of golf! Highly recommend!

The course was challenging but fair and in great condition. The only downside was a lack of ball cleaners but there are some dotted about.

There are minimal warmup facilities I.e. remote practice area you have to drive to and use own balls, small putting green and the grass around the chipping green is patchy at best. There are 2 nets but 1 was out of service during our visit.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar area and patio are lovely.

Overall I would recommend a visit and we will definitely play again when in the area.

First time playing here.

Never held up, really good pace of play. Greens we were told were fast! They were lightening quick.

Overall course conditions were very good the only downside was the bunkers (not much sand).

The bar area had a good selection of beers including 0% alcohol-free. Again only downside was no food available after 4pm, suppose that usual these days.

Great fish & chip shop in Swaffham town centre though Johns Mr Chips recommended.

Would definitely return to this course, very friendly staff, beware no hats allowed in club house.

I haven’t been golfing in England long, but I was very happy to see the condition of the course. The greens were fast and rolled true, the rough is ROUGH and the course is challenging. I’ll definitely be back to play multiple rounds at Swaffham.

It was my first time playing this course and I was really happy to find how beautiful, how peaceful and how well everything was laid out.

Even though the course was extended from a 9-hole course originally you really do not get the feeling anything is crammed in. Each hole has room to play.

The only reason I give 4-stars to the “layout” is because there is a practice area but you need to drive to it (not that far), which does seem a little disjointed from my typical experience. But once you’re there the practice area is still part of the course and you don’t feel removed.

We hired a cart which was £30 for the round, and it was really well liked after and was a nice treat in the some great weather.

If you’re walking you may want to bring some snacks as there is no half way house as such but the turn is alongside the clubhouse. It will depend on pace of play to whether you can nip in for refreshments or not.

The course is clearly well looked after. There are some great challenges all over the course, and a lot of the greens that are complex in design. I’m relatively new to golf (around 18-months) and it was a welcome step up in challenge from my home course.

All in all this was a superb experience and will definitely find my way back here at some point.

Most courses are so wet and greens slow but swaffham was the opposite green were true and fast
