Way too many people booked on the session took over 5 hours to get round with just 2 people in a group as it was that busy and wasn’t allowed to play through, 3 groups in front and behind us left early as it was that busy and got bored of waiting, very disappointed to see that they cram that many golfers in! Never seen this at any golf course before, also the groups before were leaving beer cans in the fairways just yards from the bins! Won’t be returning any time soon

We arrived at the course after 4 days of rain . The greens was brilliant nice pace and true . The first 3 holes are blind holes with a bell to ring but as long as you hit a straight ball your ok . After that the course opens up . The fairways was wet after a lot of rain and a lot of plugged balls . But over all it’s a great course and will play again

Very good course and looked after,we enjoyed our morning so much we will definitely play it again

With the dry weather we’ve had recently it’s a really good course.

Just be aware that there is a lot of hills but didn’t ruin our experience.

First time at Uttoxeter, and was greated by a friendly pro. The course is hilly, and it really tested my fitness level. I have a garmin watch, and it stated 78 flights of stairs as the climb. I’ve got to say that the condition of the greens and course exceeded my expectations for the price you pay.

The course is challenging and needs some local knowledge to get round within a reasonable score,, although a very forgiving course, there are lots of blind holes where you can really come unstuck.I’m not sure I’d quickly return, as I feel there are easier courses locally but I will return.

We were unable to grab a well earned drink at the end, as we couldn’t find any staff, but it didn’t spoil a wonderful 4 hours of golf…

First time playing this course and really enjoyed how challenging it was. The course was in superb condition and the greens where excellent. The only thing I would recommend is that you hire a buggy as it is incredibly hilly. We didn’t and we knew about it at the end of our round. We’ll definitely be back again.

As the title says the greens are in good condition my issue is how compact and close the the course is and coupled with the fact that it’s very hill up and down. Even good shots on fairways seemed to be punished with an unfair lie with often ball under your feet or above or up/down slopes.

The staff and members are friendly but If I’d be honest and ask myself would I come again? They answer would probably be no. The course is hard albeit short I feel a low handicapper might even struggle because of the short length and high handicappers would struggle with the magnitude of different lies. The course on the whole was in fair condition and the greens very well kept. All this said it’s just a hilly average course.

First time playing uttoxeter golf course and what a superb course, very tight and tricky holes that require shots to be shaped either way. Lots of elevated greens and greens to hit down to, the greens were in lovely condition and rolled true. This course would require being played a few times to learn the best way to navigate round it ! A really fun course to play but requires a decent level of fitness as it’s very hilly. Absolute bargain at £16 and I will definitely be returning very soon. These are the type of gems you can find with golf now as opposed to spending £1500 on a single course membership, I’ve played a few courses around this area recently and there truly are some fantastic courses around Derbyshire.

I hope you try and enjoy this course as much as I did ( ps the 2nd is a 7 iron from the tee )

The course is massively improved Adam the professional and his team have made great strides in the standard of the greens

Lovely course, very well maintained, fantastic weather, so that really helped. Well laid out, some great challenges, One of the top 3 courses I have used out of around 25-30 this year. Really enjoyed the experience.

Some things to be aware off. The pro shop was locked up which was a little disappointing as we needed gloves and balls however we made do. The changing room lockers all require keys, which is obviously for members only. So whilst you are asked not to change shoes in the car park, you might as well as there is no benefit to going the changing room other than using the toilet.

The location is a little out of the way, which adds to the charm, but you need to factor in when travelling. Add at least another 10 minutes to your journey time, maybe 15, we travelled from less than 20 miles and it took an hour.

Informing for others and not being negative, will 100% re-book, probably next week. A really great all round experience. Thank you.

Very friendly staff..course is very hilly which could be an issue in hot weather..but we had a buggy so all good. Quality all round

Interesting and testing golf course, very enjoyable.

Only criticism would be the greens were not brilliant, quite slow and fluffy

Played in the afternoon so the course was quiet had time to practise a few swing issues greens were in good condition the rough was penal not a long track but stay on the fairway it helps!

Great variety of holes. Not long but Humps and bumps made this course so enjoyable and interesting to play. We were first time guests and the Pro took us out to Tee to warn about ditches etc. We all loved it.

Very pleasant. Wonderful views fairway great, greens spended. Downside very hilly I found plays on the lower back
