Cracking course
Very busy in a Saturday morning, but didn’t get held up to much, stood at the bar for 5 minutes waiting for somebody to appear to serve us but understandable on a busy day
Game with my mate
Short course, very enjoyable round of golf. Shame about weather (rained most of the round), but you can't blame anybody for that. Pace of play was slow, behind a two ball, not played there before & seniors were out in force. Although short, it's more about knowing where to leave yourself in the fairway & how far to carry off the tee. Had played there before, but it was over 15+ years ago. Good value for money.
Great course
Had a great day out at Uttoxeter, nice course in a lovely location. The course is in excellent condition considering the dry weather, a credit to the greens keepers. Would recommend a visit.
Excellent value for money.
Really pleasant staff
Course in really good nick despite the dry conditions. Pace a little too slow as groups 2 in front of us could have people through as they lost nearly 2 holes in 13.
Midweek BBQ for 18
Played midweek in 34° with the ball running well, course in great condition in sweltering sunshine. Good pace to the round, some difficult shots for my personal shot direction and some interesting scrambles when offline. Firs time at Uttoxeter but will definitely play the course again,
Interesting challenge
Great club and well worth the visit, first time I’ve played this course and definitely need to play a few times to understand how to plot your way around. Great value for money.
Lovely round of golf
Really enjoyed playing this course, had a nice friendly feel to it and was in fantastic condition, fairways and greens superb. Some interesting holes and great views, only negative (and it’s a minor one) was that it is pretty hilly. Would recommend the course, good value for money as well
Excellent course for the money
Really enjoyed this course, some excellent pin positions. Well maintained.
Only negative which is no fault of their own is the 7th hole (I think) the green is next to the race course, the sprinklers for the race course penetrated the green right by the pin which caused it to be boggy.
Everything else is brilliant. For a cheap round at £17 you can’t ask for much more
Great conditio
Course in great condition. Thanks to the ground staff.
Great little course and superb value for money. Some lovely holes on the course.
Will visit again soon
Cracking course
Course is in fantastic condition. Good pace of play. First class breakfast overlooking the 18th hole and a cold pint of Shipyard pale ale, great day out, we will be back
A 3hr round in picturesque countryside.
The course is fast becoming one of my favourites and worth the 14 mile drive.
Well kept fairways and greens and not overly long give you a chance for a good score if you keep it straight.
Thank you for an enjoyable day.
Tight Quirky course
The length on this course is not its defense , although the fairways are reletively generous in part , visually there are a lot of blind shots . Local knowledge is key when playing here.
The severely undulating fairways mean that you never have a flat lie and the ball tends to vere severly with the contours, which you cant see from the tee.
The greens when we played had just been top-dressed, so were not in the best condition for us to judge .
T o be fair they did run fairly true , but the pace was difficult to judge , we will have to play again as now we have a knowledge of where we are going and i believe next time we MAY score better ????
Overall it was a really nice track , very friendly staff , definitely reccomend , but need to play it twice .
Top class course
This course is by far one of the most well maintained course in the Midlands for £25… it is quality.
There may not be lots of rough and the trees are well raised so you have half a chance of finding your ball but you still very much need to put your brain into gear.
Some long holes, some big hills, the greens are stunning. The par 3 16th is an absolute nightmare, it’s only 100 yards short but for some reason - mental block out each time we have played it!!!!
Pro is sound, car park is massive, range is a practice area and there is a net by the putting green.
This course runs along side Uttoxeter Race Course and is hidden up a narrow lane but I tell you now… what a beauty of a course!
