Played in the summer last year and really liked the course - challenging holes and great views .

Although I enjoyed getting out this time of year we were only told on arrival that 7 holes were closed and 2 of the holes in play were on winter greens. We should have been told this before we made the 45 min journey.

No discount was offered and then we were all charged for Matt’s.

I’ll go again but not in winter

It was the first time I've played this course. Considering the amount of rain we've had recently it was no surprise that some parts were soggy underfoot and a few holes were closed. That said, the greens were in great condition and very fast, and the views from the top of the course were fantastic. I'll definitely be back when the weather improves.

Absolutely fantastic looking course and clubhouse, real gem and staff are great too., unfortunately the course was closed due to weather but GN still took our booking (and£) and because it was less than 24 hours we couldn’t get a refund

I would first say be very mindful of the chaotic road leading up to the course. I got stuck about 4 or 5 times with passing cars as only room for one at a time. Throw in dog walkers and bikers and it’s a bit of a nightmare.

Arrived and didn’t have a clue what was going on, shop was closed for a 3pm tee time and I was really early. I had to grab bottled drink from the bar, no card, drinks, balls or anything on offer, luckily I had everything with me but had to go with a water and fruit shoot.

No mention of hole closures 3,4,5 all closed which unless your a member would of been aware of as no any signage. Thanks to the very loud people on the balcony/first tee.

The views were good and I imagine the course is a belting one in the summer but on the whole not the greatest experience for someone new to the area.

1st time playing the course. Holes are well signed. Considering the weather, the course was in excellent condition. The views are breathtaking. Staff and members were friendly. I would definitely play it again

This course never disappoints. Lovely condition all year and the greens are always superb.

Superb coarse, booked for 16:50pm, clubhouse closed so couldn't book in when arrived, other than that no issues.

Difficult to access along a very narrow lane. Catering very poor for a Sunday lunchtime.

Course was great to play a good test with some great holes. Was in great condition and would recommend a round there

Superb course in superb condition!! Proper hidden gem of a course. Technical but not overly difficult in that it can be forgiving of wayward play off the tee on some holes. But the rough is unforgiving on some too.

We played on a glorious sunny still day, I can imagine it’s a brutal challenge in windy conditions but an enjoyable one.

Great course. Very hilly up and down. Lovely greens and nice pace. Incredible views over Rossendale valley and Manchester also.

Some tricky fairways, but a good challenge.

Nice course, staff and members very welcoming and the course itself was a decent challenge. Quite a hilly course but we took a buggy which was great.

Great course in really Good condition. Fantastic views in all directions. I would recommend people try the course.

Our round was spoilt in part by being behind 4 old men who were very slow and wouldn’t let us through. We were a 2 ball and we play at a decent speed. Then to top it off we was stuck on 2 holes waiting for the grounds men doing the pin holing on the greens. In total was best part of 5 hours for the round and we missed 2 holes to get finished in time for other commitments. Wouldn’t mark the course down for our experience and will play again at some point
