Walsall Golf Club

Arrived 30 minutes early for tee off time the pro shop said that as there was no one going out we could go earlier than booked all in all a very pleasant afternoon's golf

A well laid out course, tees from greens easy to follow, tees/fairways and greens well maintained as are the bunkers (recently sprayed to kill weeds) Bunkers positioned well.

No scrub under trees which split fairways so balls more easily found.

Very good value as a visitor.

Members were very friendly as I found out with three asking if they could join me on the 18th tee back to the club house. After completing the hole, hands shaken and asked if I was staying for a drink, to which I replied yes, to which they invited me to join them for an hour or so.

Gent was lovely in the pro shop. Rented a pull trolley it was only £10 good condition of course for winter time!

So booked a tee time for 1234 only to be told when we got there that the Golf now tee time booking system doesn’t sync with the club’s system. Therefore we can start at 1pm.

What ??? Why use Golf now to accept bookings when the time doesn’t mean anything ?

I have never been to a golf club where they don’t honour your booked tee time.

So we were waiting on the first tee at 1pm with 3 other groups waiting when a group of members stroll up and said

“ he said we can go next “ meaning the pro I assume so we actually teed off about 1.10.

Course was average. Greens poor. Bunkers hit and miss which had sand in and which didn’t.

We won’t be back due to the bizarre system where your booked tee time doesn’t actually mean anything.

If I book a tee time I expect to tee off at that time not when you can fit us in to accommodate members.

Good luck if you book with Golf now. Be prepared to wait.

Course is great, good lay out. Some interesting holes. Greens were not in the best condition, could be due to time of year but many pinch marks that were not repaired.

Enjoyed playing Walsall. Great course, maintenance work on greens ongoing but still had a good day! We’ll be back!

This course is very well layed out, however the greens are terrible for such a course like this with its history.

Some bunkers are now having the sand changed , some do not have very much sand at all.

Only two air guns once you have finished your round.

It's a shame as this can be a great course with some investment into the grounds keepers.

The course was fantastic and in great condition, will definitely be back

Traps were sent in right the places to make it difficult and you have to position the ball well to score well

Lovely course and great value for the money. The course was in great condition, apart from a couple of bunkers that had very firm sand.

Unfortunately the club never had are tee time booked. Being a

Bank holiday Monday the course was extremely busy. Showing them are booking conformation email they allowed us to play. We had to hang around and wait a while before they could squeeze us on. which was disappointing, as two lads Had to leave after 9. as time was getting on and had other plans late afternoon.

Really enjoyed playing the course. Great layout and not too taxing to get around. Staff were friendly and overall was excellent value for money. Will definitely be playing again.

Played Walsall Golf Club through golf now. What a great course for the money. The course was set out in great condition and the staff and members really friendly. Well worth a visit. Some members say it can be heavy going in winter.

Well laid out course only 3 hours to get around and was busy well thought out holes bunkers and trees all in play but keeps it interesting
