Having booked it the night before and only £17.50 pp. my friend and I thought it’s worth a punt.

Having arrived and the chap behind the desk (didnt get his name) said we were cleared to go! I don’t think he could look less bothered tbf but there we go.

The course was in decent condition considering the time of year. You can instantly tell it is a clay based course. So holds a lot water. Greens could have down with a cut but again for £17.50 you cannot complain too much.

What I will moan about it the pace of play. I get it. Golf is a game for everyone. And everyone is allowed to take their time and enjoy their round. But when a 2 ball takes 2&1/2 hours to play 8 holes (we skipped the 9th to get a jump on the 3 ball in front of us) something is wrong. Only then to be stuck behind another 3 ball! No etiquette was given when we are on the tee box right behind the group in front. We even asked to jump out in front of the other groups and was turned down. But again at £17.50 can you really moan?

May play again but only at 1pm on a Tuesday when it’s not that busy!

The course wasn't too bad for the time of year. However maybe shouldn't put the course on golfnow for booking if you have a xmas stableford competition going on. The course was incredibly packed, we were 25 mins behind tee off time. There were people everywhere left & right on every hole. Lots of stray balls flying everywhere, sometimes with no calls. Very off putting so couldn't enjoy the round. Managed about 10 holes in 3 hours. Will probs leave a while before visiting again.

Weather was poor but fairway and greens held up. Amenities not the best and course could be better but for £18 it was a good day.

I actually arrived for my tee time and hour early, doh. I asked if there was a chance I could go out now, not a problem. The ground was wet of course, the amount of rain we have had will have that affect, yet there were places that were not so bad, the most striking thing about the round was the greens, they were brilliant for this time of year, pace, roll, even the cut was great. With just a few temp tee boxes the remainder were really good. I'm seriously thinking of joining next season.

Unbelievable value for money. Only two greens with puddles of water. Great fairways for this weather. Can only imagine how good this would be in the summer. Was not expecting much judging by the reviews, but exceeded all expectations. 30.4 handicap as only been playing since April, but fairly easy course to score under 100.

I only played the first nine as it was getting dark. But the course was in great condition despite the weather. Well kept greens and a lovely layout.

I was very pleasantly surprised with my visit. Having read lots of negative reviews I wasn't sure what to expect.

The course was in good condition, with good fairways and greens in good nick. All of those negative reviewers must have been expecting to play Augusta National for their £25 !!

The course layout is interesting with water in play on several holes, including a daunting 1st tee shot over a lake. A good fun round, played at a good pace on a Saturday afternoon. What's not to like?

Great local course, fairways need attention but well thought out. Good for local golf.

Creat course, greens kept in great condition, well maintained.

Great local course with 'decent greens. The fairways are a little 'park like' but some challenging pins and layout.

All in all a good local course but I probably wouldn't travel too far to play it if you are a golf enthusiast

Not worth the £30, bare greens and fairways.

Bunkers no consistent. Water hazards in place but now water just a mound or dead grass area.

The course itself was ok but the greens were shocking for £35 I wont be coming back.

Was looking forward to re playing this course the greens have massively gone down hill

Pace of play was shocking 10-15 minutes waiting per hole

Course & greens played well after the heatwaves we've had ,only let down by some bunkers with little sand in
