Expect a great golfing experience
Course conditions at even the most challenging time of year could not be faulted. The tees, fairways and greens were very well protected/maintained, and everything makes for a very enjoyable round of golf. A very fine example to many other courses indeed.
Great Course
First time playing the course, pro shop staff helpful in pointing things out. Went out with my Hole19 app on my phone, and was taken back by the condition, all greens were in play and running true, hardly any damage on them which shows how much the members care for their course. Quirky layout of holes, a real course management course. Can’t just take driver out on every hole over 250yds! Enjoyed it so much I came back next day and got to play with a member and again really enjoyed it.
A tightly configured course
There are some shared tees and closely configured fairways. A moderate course but well used to the extent that there are long waits as players stack up with each other.
Top notch
Course in excellent condition. Nice friendly club.
Greens!
Very slow play but greens were extremely slow, fairways poor
Very poor
This course is probably the worse I have played in a very long time. Round took nearly 4hrs 45min because people in front refused to let people through! Kept waiting on almost every hole! Course was predominantly poor and totally uninteresting! Greens were absolutely shocking! I think I’ve putted better on some fairways! Tee boxes were like semi rough. Fairways almost non existent!! Hospitality was very poor! Overall a real SHOCKER!!! Don’t waste your time or money!!!
Where am I!
The greens were excellent and there are some stunning views, however some of the fairways are unkept.
Really enjoyable.
Course was in really good condition. Layout was ok, except a hole playing across each other. Other than that it was fine. A few really good looking holes. The par 4 4th, hitting down through the trees, then it open up to a green surrounded by trees and the par 3 15th hitting over a water feature to a multi level green were particularly memorable. The greens were in very good shape. Only one bad thing if I can even call it that, was that a few of the tee boxes weren’t quite ready yet but it wasn’t long after the course had not long re opened after covid though.
Definitely would play this course again and will in the near future.
Surprisingly good
Never played Wareham before but was really impressed with the condition of the course given the recent weather and time of year. It is short but a lot of blind tee shots keep it interesting.
Some challenging holes
This is a good Course, with a variety of good and demanding holes. The back 9 is not for the faint hearted as there a lot of hilly parts. The day I played the greens had been re-done and it was hard work getting a good line to put the ball. Recommend you have a go but get a motocaddie
