Great course
We played this on Friday the course was great and the food and staff were great but the down side was we had 2 of our vehicles broken into whilst we were playing and around £800 worth of damage done to them and apparently it is a regular occurrence there so be warned don’t leave any valuables in your vehicles especially if you have a van or truck I guarantee they will get broken into
Confusing start time
Enjoyed the course, but a little confused on first tee as some t times only set 4 minutes apart. 4 and half hours for the round, which was a bit slow, we were a two ball playing behind a few senior 3 balls.
Greens and fairways in great condition. Bunkers well raked all the way round!!!! Which is unusual, but this course had plenty of rakes!
Cracking course
Played it off the white tees and what a challenge, lovely weather and the course (especially the greens) were perfect.
Beautiful and well-kept course with some challenging holes.
Very nice and friendly staff with great facilities and good value for money! Lovely breakfast which I recommend!!
Greens were amazing and true.
Only downside was the play is slow and at one time was 3 groups waiting to tee of by the 7th hole so longer time between tee off would be better.
But will be back again for another round.
Great course
Played with 2 other freinds, and all thoroughly enjoyed the course. Every hole is a new challenge and keeps you intrested the whole way round. The only down side is the strange no alcohol policy and the tables in the outside bar could do with a wipe down. But other than that a very enjoyable course.
Great course slow play
This was the second time I played this course. It is a lovely set up. Great fairways and greens. Top conditions.
First time I played had a great front nine but back nine was ruined by people cutting in on 10th and then having to wait for every shot thereafter.
Today started on time but buy third shot was waiting for every shot as the people ahead were backed up for next 3 holes. By the 7th I was having people behind hitting into me without calling four when they could see I had to wait for every shot.
I walk off the course after this as it just wasn’t worth it.
It’s a great course with low green fees. If you are a 4 ball you will probably have a great time but I won’t be playing there again as it’s got too many people playing at once.
Great course
Been playing here for a few years and its current owners and staff are doing a great job. The course is looking and playing the best it ever has
Brentwood GC
Great course in good condition and a great layout. Well worth the money!
Expected better
The first 9 holes are basically the same hole, just back and forth over the stream. Back 9 is slightly better.
The queue at the first tee was around 12 people deep and the play was slow in front and very pressured/rushed from behind even though there was nowhere to go.
To add to a pretty poor experience, food stopped at 2pm, which after a sluggish 18 was annoying. Not a course I would recommend.
Frustrating
I like the course and it is in good condition considering the recent weather but it took me an hour and half to play 5 holes due to a three ball two groups in front of me who were playing ridiculously slowly.
Only played 9 holes as there was a society day on and play was slow , course is good with excellent greens , fast and true , but would say the bunkers not the best
Very good condition
Very good condition, greens had a few pitch marks on the par 3s but to be expected on a late Sunday afternoon. Course is quite right with numerous hazards so made it quite challenging.
Great day
Played last Thursday, course was playing ok, dissapointed with the greens, speed and quite bumpy. Some of the tee boxes need some levelling. The most dissapointing though were the bunkers, hardly any sand in any of them not good enough and probably won't play for a while until sorted out. Price was fine at £32 and buggy hire at £28
Excellent condition
Played on Saturday 5th August at 1:08 in a 2 ball, joined a solo player to make a three ball which was very pleasant as pace of play was quite slow. The condition of the course was very good, bunker's had a good depth of quality sand and greens were running true and quite fast. Fairways well manicured and tees were generally good. Had a beer after and staff were friendly and helpful. Will play many times.
