Horrendously slow Play

A 5 Hour mid week round

Tee times 8 minutes apart packs the course which should flow nicely but doesn’t

Greenkeepers went about business with little to no regard or regret for actions

Signs on thr 10th tee to not play if someone is on the 9th actively ignored and unsupervised and surprisingly encouraged

Disappointingly poor

Really surprised at how good this course was. Extremely well kept, and the greens were some of the best we have played on.

Pace was not amazing, we had a group tee off a minute before we were due because of groups in front of them. So that slowed us all.

However, the rest of the day easily made up for the lack of pace. 10/10 recommend and will 100% be back again

Really enjoyed my round here, playing the second course while visiting Birmingham. The greens were superb, fairways adequate but the tee boxes needs work. The layout of the course is good, varied holes with couple of reachable par 5s in two, and being a par 73, it had few of them. Pro Shop and members very friendly, decent practice facilities, so all in all, great club.

The tree lines was about the best thing about this course.

The 1st few holes were decent and had something about them.

The people around the course seemed a bit wild and didn't show much etiquette, maybe a rough area, other players seemed a bit cold. One guy had his dog running around on the course, terrible.

After 11 holes the whole course turns upside down, as holes are not where they are on the Golf GPS apps. So, no idea where we going, and no yardages, they turned the holes around.

Played myself and once the 4ball ahead let me through it was plain sailing. Really nice course, easy to navigate. A good test. Recommended.

The Wergs is a great test of golf for all handicap levels but having played the new back 9 layout for the first time i’m not sure it works as well as the previous course set-up. It’s a little confusing & in my opinion it doesn’t seem to help the flow of the course. There were also a fair few slow players that weren’t observing course etiquette. We were a 3 ball with trolleys but we were catching 2 & 4 ball groups in buggies which apparently were being held up aswell. Still would recommend it as a golf club but think i would only book on a GolfNow discount deal rather than pay the full official price.

5th time playing here. The course has just got better and better as the dryer weather has come in. New layout to what it was last time we played. Made the course better. Only downside was the 4 ball infront was very slow. Playing off whites when they really shouldn't of been. Took over 4 and a half hours to complete when every other time it's took 3 and a half. Was glad that the players behind us could see it wasn't us holding play up as they started to get frustrated at first. Big breakfast beforehand was fantastic and staff as always were brilliant. Can see ourselves playing alot here.

The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was excellent

Also the breakfast was a 9 out of 10

Decided to play her for my birthday today. Considering the time of year, the course is immaculate. The greens were pacy and the fairways were lush. A fantastic course, with some challenging holes. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Had food also which was tasty. All in all I would recommend to all and I myself look forward to playing here again soon.
