Really good course to play round! Fairways and greens were in very good condition and lots of tricky bits to navigate. Will 100% be playing there again! Staff also very friendly and helpful

The coarse was in pretty good shape considering the weather we have had greens were good but people need to repair pitch marks tough in the second cut but we are going back in the near future

Got lucky with the weather for a late April round on a Saturday. Course was in excellent condition considering the weather the weeks and months prior, with only a couple of roped off areas that did not affect play.

Greens had been hollow tined, which is completely understandable for the time of year.

Pace of play for a Saturday was good, and the course was busy with loads of groups and a society playing out there. At no point were we waiting too long to tee off or play in to the greens.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and the bar was well stocked for after the round.

Good course, nice layout and I would play there again without hesitation.

This is well drained, no mud, well maintained. Love this course recommend to all levels of golfers.

Whole course open when many others in the area were closed or only partially open. Surprised that all the normal greens were in play, and they were in very good condition for February - especially as there had been a lot of rain throughout the winter. Very friendly and amenable staff - both on the course, in the pro shop and the restaurant.

We played here when the weather had been pretty bad, so much so that we had a round cancelled for the day and booked this last minute. Despite this there wasn’t a single puddle anywhere and no ground that was too boggy to play off. Yes some bits were soft but I was very impressed. Tee boxes were nice as were the greens. Some of the drives off the tee boxes are very picturesque. Not a snobby course either which is nice. Good pace of play, friendly staff and the cleaning station at end thoroughly impressed my friend. 😅

Was expecting 2 holes to be closed according to website but pleasantly surprised to find fully open. Course had forward tees. Weather was cold but sunny clear skies. Course wasn’t at all muddy on or off the fairways. Greens damp but still good speed and true. Any missed putts were poor reads. Not too many players out there. Great layout and many interesting holes. Only negative was clubhouse was chilly. They had wood burner on when we arrived but was out after we finished. Highly recommended as well-drained at this time of year. Friendly members and staff. 👍

Never played this course before but what a nice course greens very good even though we had rain for 3 days before we played . Quite a bit of water round the course where you can go for it or lay up . Rough wa a little bit long but with the weather we had that’s what you expect. Will definitely play here again. Ps managed to pick up 2 bags of mushrooms

First time playing Wergs but won’t be the last. For Saturday early afternoon not bad value at all and not very busy. Course was in very good condition with fast but true greens. Certainly on front 9 most greens reachable in regulation. Very minor criticism: the grass cuttings were left in the rough rather than being collected. Highly recommended.

This was the first time I have played this course. Looking at the pictures and on Google maps it looked quite boring and safe. Don't be fooled, the course is very well designed, traps placed so as to make you think about club selection and course management.

Staff are very friendly, course was in good condition and the greens are very fast.

Pace of play is slow, we were waiting on most tees but it was a lovely day and a beautiful course so not too much of a problem.

The course is looking in great shape with lots of work done by the staff, greens ran true. Would recommend

Great course doesn’t punish you to much with wayward play but very challenging still.Definitely recommend and will be back again

Considering the smout of rain we had plus the downpour on the front nine the course was in very good condition.

My wife and I played the course having found it close to our house. Checking in staff are friendly and helpful as are the bar staff and those around the club.

The course is in good condition despite a lot of rain leading up to us playing. The layout of the course is simple and easy to follow with some holes being simple up and down holes. By this I mean you can see the flag and as long as you are straight, you head in the right direction.

Their are some holes which are harder as they are blind over a rise or a dog leg, but in the main, its up and own golf.

Great to visit, great to play, but you will find harder

Lovely course, well maintained. The only down side was slow play, several times on the back nine there were 5 parties playing 2 holes!

As title says, it is a great course, set out very nice, some very tricky holes with plenty of water, not very hilly, greens were great, pace of play seemed to slow up back 9, friendly staff, nice beer, easy to get to. I will return.
