Wergs Golf Club

Despite all the bad weather we’ve had, everything about course was excellent, fairways, greens, even bunkers, staff in clubhouse was very polite. People in club house very friendly, seriously thinking about becoming a member next year, best course in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas by fair 😀😀😀

This is a tricky course due to the tree lined fairways. It is not always the long holes that catch you out but clever design and dome really quirky layouts. Would recommend as a good test for anyone!

The facilities were all good apart from the toilets which need refurbishment. Staff helpful and friendly

150 Markers hand to find or see so unless the use of gps complete guess work.

The green is fantastic. It’s smooth and fast. Just love it. Overall condition is good too.

Second time playing and won’t be the last, fairways and greens are in excellent condition, rough not to bad, course layout is superb, lots of water hazards , beware of the deep bunkers on some holes

Great course which is kept to a superb standard. Had a mix up with regards to playing because they had a club tournament and initially refused us access, blaming GolfNow as we should t have been able to book. In fairness given 10 mins and 8 people in total being there at 6am they agreed to let us go off so long as we were quick. That aside though really enjoyed the course and its open fairways.

Can't really fault anything about the coarse. Greens, fairways & bunkers were very good. Teamed up with a member on the first and we had a good day. Superb value for money and a good challenge.

Think they may have had issues with the greens, as they were seeded & some spiked.

Great course with some of the better greens I've played in a while and thoroughly worth the price. It's a challenging course for a high handicap like myself bit feels it can be gotten at! Some cool hole designs too! I've played it twice so far and look forward to playing it again soon.

We visited the wergs golf club as a 2 ball, initial impression was good nice large free car park, friendly staff and a decent club shop, course nicely laid out, with good clear signage, a few tricky holes really gets you thinking. I would definitely recommend this course.

Third time lucky!, the course was closed for the weather on previous two attempts! Enjoyed the course, greens were fast pace but that's a result of finally playing on a sunny day in 2024! Only issue was the four ball in front holding everyone up! If that's the pace you play that is fine, just call the groups behind you through whilst you are checking ponds, streams, trees and bushes looking for each other's balls!! Despite the frustration, the sun was finally out and we really enjoyed our first round at Wergs.. will definitely return in the future.

Course was in good nick. The greens were consistent. There was a fair bit of work going on with several holes haveIng GUR but this did not impact the round much at all. Very enjoyable round.

Friendly welcome, good breakfast, has driving range, chipping and putting areas and nets all by first tee. The course itself is nicely laid out with a good variety of holes my favourite being the short 12th. Sadly 11, 12 and 13 were pretty wet but playable following heavy rain the week before. Greens were in excellent condition and running pretty quick but bunkers, thankfully didn’t go in any, were all full of water. Overall and very enjoyable day and would definitely go back.

The course was in a wonderful conditions, fairway fantastic and the green were like glass. I brought a friend who played it for his first time and he was amazed of the quality of the whole course

In good condition generally but pace of play slow due to number on course. Probably due to it being a Bank holiday.

Bunkers basically mud pits due to lack of raking.

Really good course to play round! Fairways and greens were in very good condition and lots of tricky bits to navigate. Will 100% be playing there again! Staff also very friendly and helpful
