Weston Turville Golf Club

Course was in excellent condition but we were out after the Seniors 4 ball roll up. This was a stroke play competition & made the pace of play very slow. After almost 3 hours for the 1st 12 holes we decided to stop for lunch at the clubhouse for lunch. When we rejoined the course after lunch a member was very rude &^ accused us of pushing in even though we explained what we had done & offered to let them play through.

The bar staff are old and very unfriendly and certainly have never had any customer service training.

This is a real shame as puts a downer on the end of a good day and as it's the last part of the day, it is the main thing you remember.

The course is not too bad otherwise.

A lovely venue that would warmly welcome anyone looking to play somewhere flat but challenging. I'd happily return to play it again soon!

The course itself wasn't bad. Greens were a little slow and some areas of rough were far too long which meant that players spent a long time looking for balls and slowing play down. The staff in the pro shop were great and very helpful. My main concern was the attitude of the staff in the bar and kitchen. We finished our round and we're in the bar by 3:37pm to be met by a member of the bar staff telling us that food had stopped being served at 3:30. Members in the bar were still being served food but they would not take our order. Staff said to remember for next time that food stopped at 3:30 but then added "but I guess you won't be coming back again". Disappointing attitude.

WT is one of my favourite courses ..have played there frequently for 4 years. there is an issue that I prefer not to mention here though nothing to do with the golf. The course was recently bought out t and is undergoing refurbishment ..when completed the new clubhouse & facilities will greatly enhance the club's appeal and, hopefully, attract a younger crowd. The course is challenging in parts but that's welcome & all part of the golf challenge! Green-keepers take a bow, you do a sterling job ..course management is first rate; the greens are as good as you would find anywhere.

Lovely course with hardly anyone playing it on the day we played. Tee off was 12:04 and was not held up once. Greens and fairways in excellent condition.

The course was very well kept.friendly staff overall good all round. Will play there again.

Be careful when you book cheap rounds via this site. On arrival at the course we were informed as we had not booked directly with the course, and got reduced green fees, we would be paired up as a 4 ball whether we wanted it or not. Luckily on this occasion the course was quiet and we were allowed to play as a 2 ball anyway.

The course was in great condition, the fairways were perfect and well defined, 1st cut of rough was just right. The only downside is when booking we weren't told it would be on winter tee's (Mats).

The greens were in perfect condition and very well drained. Bunkers had good sand in not all compacted or flooded.

Played this course 5 times and this was the best it's looked.

I would play here again very soon.

First time playing here, and what a delightful course. Nice mix of holes, and some tricky greens to negotiate. Course was in good nick, too, considering the time of year.

I enjoyed playing golf here I thought the course was very good .would play there again .

Unfortunately whilst the course has a perfectly good club house this is wasted with lack of breakfast offering of sny sort

We headed off with two clear holes between us and a competition group but got held up approaching the green on the second !!! And from there on it was pathetic - there are a few holes where the next tee plays across the green just finished - which is another hold up in play

The course condition was very good with some challenging holes - but at the price with lack of club house facility (at 9 am not 6:30 !) and with such slow play would make this one we would probably say you could get better elsewhere

Guess it depends what sort of a day you are looking for. Me-not played in months and didn't want a big challenge or endless hills which are easy to find in the Chilterns. So wanted a parkland course, nice and flat and not too guarded. Yes it has bunkers, trees and water, but not too much of any of them. Pace was perfect and the regulars most friendly, will definitely return.
