Recommend this course
Really enjoyed my first round here. Only issues were the tee boxes could have been a bit better maintained and more signage between some of the holes ( although the other golfers here were really friendly and helped us out). Would recommend playing here .
Nice Easy Course, a little cramped
The staff were very friendly and I will play here again, I used GolNow to book and because of that, as a two ball we were joined with another 2-ball. The course manager apologised profusely ( it’s in the small print for GolfNow) but we were ok with it, luckily the other 2 ball were equally happy and we had a good laugh. The course was in good condition, greens were very good if a little water logged, not suprised given the 24 hours of rain we had the day before. I wish golfers would take the 30 seconds to repair their divots and pitch marks!! If I had a criticism it’s that the course is a little cramped, it feels like a course that squeezed 18 holes where perhaps 15 might go. I will play there again however as it wasn’t enough to put me off.
Nice round of golf
We started our round immediately after a huge downpour, despite this the course was still in pretty good condition. A few of the greens had standing water but the still played pretty fast and true. The course is a little crammed in and there were at least 4 holes where you play across another hole. It was easy to stay safe though and it made for a quick round without walking miles between tees. As a high handicaper I found the course challenging but not ridiculously punishing if I was too far off the fairway.
Overall it was a really enjoyable round and would definitely play there again.
Great Value
Course in fantastic condition. Pace a little slow, however, to be expected on a hot Saturday afternoon.
Really backed up on the two par three's they have together. Overall great course .
Tight course
Not a long course but boy have you got to hit straight as they've crammed a lot of holes in a small space. Lots of long irons of the tee. Would help if the yardage markers were more visible than buried in the midst of the fairway. Sand was in bad condition when I played.
Great condition!
Course played really well ! Greens slightly slow but rolled well. Was in a 2 ball and caught behind a 4 ball for 14 holes who wouldn’t let us through but course was great and would recommend to people getting into the game.
Stupidly overcrowded
Was made to play in a 4ball with 2 strangers after booking a 2ball. Pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced
Great Value for money
haven't played here for a couple of years (due to injury have not been playing)and was struggling to book a round for 2 fourballs. So rang the club and got 2 tee times around 1.00 pm. The course was busy but we were never held up and it was in excellent condition particularly the greens which were all in good condition
and ran at a good speed, although some of the tee boxes were a bit scruffy.
The course is not the longest but is a good test for most levels. Me and my mates are all around the 20 handicap Mark and all of us really enjoyed the course. The value for money at £17.50 is excellent and we will definitely be back.
Take cover !
First time playing at Weston turville, decided to try it after reading lots of positive reviews.
We did enjoy the course, the greens were good, lots of quirky holes and a good bit of variety. The main negatives are that's the course is far too cramped, lots of waiting for other groups to tee off back across greens and fairways from the previous holes, it's just bizzare, it's like they have squeezed in an 18 hole course when there was only room for 12 holes.
The signage between holes is also pretty much non existent, we had to keep a close eye on the group in front otherwise we wouldnt have had a clue where to go on a few holes.
Our main problem was that we were almost hit on several holes from errant golf shots, we did see one player get hit by a golf ball which was hit from the group in front of us, luckily he was unhurt.
Maybe it was just busy for a Saturday afternoon but it seems like this is the norm, it felt like trying to play golf on a driving range !
I think if we ever came back we would wear hard hats rather than golf hats...
