Whitwood Golf Course

If you like a bit of run on your shot or you are usually short on the putt, this is the course for you. The rough was a little long but otherwise the course was great. Unique course review in the clubhouse, gives perspective of each hole. It is a 16 over 9 with two repeat boxes. A good challenge for any level of golfer. There is no catering on site, so eat before you arrive.

I hadn’t had a round of golf for some time so booked to do 9 holes here for £17 after work. Roger greeted me when I arrived and went through all of the holes that I would be playing on a screen. The course was ideal for what I wanted and I’ll certainly return for the convenience of a well-kept course at a reasonable price.

I can’t expect much for the price. It’s in poor condition

For a 9 hole golf course it was well laid out and the fairways and greens were excellent

The course was in excellent condition considering the time of year

fairways were clear and greens in good condition

no issues with players in front or behind they were very friendly and helpful

It’s an ok course but I find it on the expensive side for a 9 hole course. Would still play again as its local to me

Desperately in need a good soaking.

Fast running course with very little defence against straight tee or fairway shots. Stray however and your ball will run thro the first cut of rough and into trouble.

The greens however are standing up to the recent dry spell, well paced and consistent. Bunkers do vary in sand depth and lie... ( USE THE F-ING RAKES)

Very well priced and still a challenge for mid/high handicappers.

Course in good condition, much better than I remembered. Well worth a visit.

Great apart from nearly getting hit by 2 golf balls on the 2nd by a couple of eager ones who couldn’t wait to be waved through and fancied playing the same hole at the same time

Only 1 and a group of 3 on the course and I still had to wait at tee box to tee off could of let me through at least 3 times only reason they did is because I was hitting the ball when they was still on green to get them moving took me over 2 hours for 9 holes and only 30 minutes after I got in front ball easy to lose even on fairways

Little frustrating to have to start late and mid course because of a late running comp but the staff was helpful. The course is tricky and boggy in places due to amount of rain (not allot can be done about this I know).

I’ve seen fairways at other clubs better than the greens here, rough and long. Not the best

When it’s not wet it’s a great course but obviously with all the bad weather we’ve had I can see the problem only played 9 but paid for 18 staff great but probably needs to be closed till drys up

Course shouldn’t have been open. Painfully slow too.
