Whitwood Golf Course

This was the first time we’d played this course and we will play it again.

There are 9 greens but 16 tee boxes so the course feels different on the back 9.

The greens were in good condition.

We got a very friendly welcome in the clubhouse as well.

Good course nice variation, outstanding greens.

Just needs regulations making more clear for new players. Lots of people teeing off late or early, playing in shorts and t shirts, leaving bags on green while putting, not shouting fore, taking multiple tee shots. Pace is slow due to this but otherwise a nice course good price

a pleasantly surprising course having heard some negative comments from other golfers. the greens were all nice and flat, it did look like you could be in trouble off the fairways but nice wide fairways and good value for the money i paid

1st visit here. Great course for a beginners open fairways. Not too many difficult challenges. Greens in fairly good condition. Great round of golf. people and staff very friendly and took time to talk to us.

What made it great for me as a newby, best score and performance that I've ever achieved.

Had a great afternoons golf not played here for twenty years and boy has it changed for the better greens we’re excellent signage was good and the 19 th hole facilities were good

Ex council course built on former colliery land. Still developing with fairways a bit inconsistent due to soil conditions. Greens excellent and good general layout and conditions.

I'm lucky I was following the SatNav otherwise I would never have found the golf course. It is hidden away through an industrial estate and could easily be missed by people. We were fortunate with the weather when we played. Both the Fairways and the greens were very well kept considering the amount of rain that had fallen over the last few days. The greens especially were incredibly fast. I am not a huge fan of of 9 hole golf courses But it is certainly one of the better ones that I have played.

Waterlogged, fairways poor quality, greens OK, 9 hole only go round twice for 18

You can’t argue with the price although the course had poorly maintained fairways with not enough grass, whilst the layout was okay for a tight space and the greens were well kept the overall experience was average.

Great course for a quick round.

9 holes featuring 7 with alternative tees.

Good layout which provides an interesting challenge for mid to high handicappers.

Greens generally flat so not too punishing.

Not many bunkers but well placed to catch the wayward approach.

Great value for money

Not a bad course by any means, twice round 9 holes, could be sign posted better, not very clear on where the next tee is, fairways are fine semi/rough is extreme (could've been due to staff on furlough etc) greens were fine though, all in all a very steady course just a few quid too much.
