Great course to play.

Very windy and challenging.

A busy course so very slow play with 4 balls ahead and not many groups let you through.

Five and a half hour round

Round took over five and a half hours for a 3 ball. Course fine and staff nice, but nothing could make up for such a slow round.

Good challenge but some TLC needed

Played Wokefield Park for the first time as debating opting for a flexible golf membership. Friendly welcome from the pro shop and useful having 2 practice areas for putting and chipping. Good wide fairways and lots of bunkers and a course that makes you think.

The only downside was some slow play ahead which a course Marshall would be useful to keep players moving on as it was busy. Some TLC on some holes with bins for rubbish would be good. Given its a hotel resort some empty drinks cans and food were left on tee boxes but would come back in the summer. The greens played well for the time of year

Excellent course but slow play

Played this course after a gap of over 10 years so didn’t remember much about it but found it in good condition and enjoyable to play. Most holes are doglegs with lots of very strategically placed bunkers so you have to think your way around this course. Fairways had dried out but look like they’ve suffered from rain over winter so we’re a bit patchy. Greens good but again needed a bit of work to iron out a few of the bumps. Main problem was slow play. It was packed (on a Monday!) so lots of waiting for players in front. Maybe need 10 min gap between tees not 8 or a course marshall to chase slow groups along a bit. Nice course though and would definitely come back.

Very Slow!

2 holes out of action due to recent rain. Promised a discount vouacher, will see if it arrives.

The two groups of four in front of us were soooo slow. Created a tailback of three groups backed up and waiting. 3+2+2

Great Track and in great condition for time of year

We have been lucky with a relatively dry winter, which the course has benefitted from. Greens were in excellent condition and no temp greens required. Course Layout is excellent, Bunkers with sand, water on many holes and only £22. Great Value. Played here before and we will be back.

Great value for money on a fun course

Very good value for money. Paid around £23 to play. Course was a bit slow but there were societies out playing which held us up. The pro shop was not that impressive with very little choice compared to others, however I didn't need anything spectacular on the day. The course itself was in good condition for this time of year, the fairways were reasonable and not 'slappy'. Greens ran really true and were quick although in places they were damaged from unrepaired pitch marks (not much they can do there from a hotel complex) Some holes were a good mix of risk and reward, and had an overall fun layout with undulating fairways and banks. Some holes were also very pretty on the eye.

Overall a very enjoyable round and course, can't get much better value for money in my opinion. RECOMMEND!

Good value

The course was a little wet, understandably. However the greens we’re in good condition and for £21 the round was good value for money

Awful condition

Second time playing at wokefield and the course was in an awful state. Bunkers waterlogged, tee boxes a mess, greens unplayable. So sad to see and won’t be returning any time soon:

Overpriced and pace of play extremely slow

Our tee time was double booked and there was a short time between the two tee times ahead of us and the one behind. This lead to a 5 hour round

The staff member in the pro shop said there had been a small amount of work to the course that would cause minimal disruption to our round. The greens had major works done recently, which we understand has to occur, however we were told differently. Putting on the greens was almost impossible and resulted to us picking up once we were on the greens by the end

A fair price for this round would’ve been £10-12 and we would definitely not recommend this course to friends.

Never coming back

Having played here multiple times as its my local course, I have finally given up with this place. The reason? Greedy management and slow, slow, sloooow rounds.

I played a few months back and gave up after 6 holes due to members and a society teeing off as and when they please. I was given a voucher for a round as compensation. Fair enough. On the use of that voucher it took 4.5 hrs to get round on a Friday night twilight round.

Today I returned for the 1st time since then and gave up on the 8th.

Until the management put larger gaps between tee times, and actually have a warden patrol so you don't get 6 balls going round (I've seen this nearly every round I've played) and teach some members and guests some actual etiquette I won't be back. Bunkers never raked and the greens are absolutely riddled with unrepaired / poorly repaired pitch marks.

The course itself is decent, tee boxes an greens especially need some work. But there is not much to be positive about unfortunately.
