Play this one quick
This course was intended to be a proper golf course holding serious event. ,Sadly I believe the money ran out, the layout is second to none, condition wise, it just needs that final push to make it a great course.
I hope one of the major hotel chains comes in ,spends a few bob and puts it up there with the Carden Parks, Mere's etc. .In my opinion this is not going to happen and we may lose this course so full of potential.
Enjoyment
I had a good day but the only thing that bugged me a little was.It could do with a few posts with arrows showing you the way around the course .
On the plus side it's a lovely course both enjoyable and nice countryside. .Especialy with a family friends house at hole 5 and 10 letting there chickens run free on the course .One day soon I'll come back there to play but next time hopefully free of muscle pains
Work in progress
Has the potential to be a really nice course and there are obvious signs they are putting some serious effort into achieving this. I think given another Summer and some work over next winter this will be a very good course. I will pay a visit next year and see how it has progressed.
Great Latout
Great layout, all the holes are tough, no gimme holes. Can play long depending on what tees you play off. Thought some of stroke index were strange. Stroke 2 was par 5, all players in 4-ball got by the green with a drive and a mid iron.
Always enjoy the tough test it provides.
Ok but in need of improvement
Played here once before last year I was disappointed on that occasion because of lack of hole signs or in wrong place I was told that they had placed signs on order so we was given a map bit that was last year.
Any way this time no map just a scorecard and was also told signs were on order we made our way to the first tee and had to wait 15 plus minutes for 2 lots of players to go through the fairways were ok and lush I was impressed with the 1st green but once again we was soon looking for directions to tees etc....
But considering we Had rain on and off a week or so before only 2 of the fairways were in bad shape and 1 green was in a bad way but I would still go back because I'm sure this course will be awesome one the signs arrive and it as a bit more done to it overall.
So I'm not being horrible I'm being honest the only thing that might put people off is the lack of or the positioning of them.
The course as a good chance of being up there with Merseysides finest so all the best doing that I really mean that
