Royal Oak
Always like playing here, it’s a good 9 hole course that is set quite up with some decent views and in decent knick year round.
A must
Really well kept course. Some long holes compared to other 9 hole courses in the area. Would highly recommend.
Cracking little course
Play 9 or 18. Lovely little course with immaculate greens and fairways

The batr is Immaculate with good choice of drinks and staff were great.
Flat course
Played late afternoon and the course was fairly quiet. Greens in good condition and fairways well maintained. If you go off line the rough will punish you that is if you can find your ball. Staff very friendly with the shop selling the basics. As we were finishing the course was getting busier so time your visit.
Slow and unwelcoming
I paid £13 for 9 holes which seemed about right for the quality of the course BUT as they offer 18 holes even though there is only actually 9 greens, you will end up with lots of build up/slow play due one group being on 1st and one group being on the 10th heading for the same green, for example. Also Karen on reception couldn’t have been more unwelcoming.
Better than a pitch and putt.
It’s the “go to” course when there’s nowhere’ else to go to.
Like many nine hole courses, pairs rounds can be ruined by four balls impeding your progress on either of the nine hole layouts.
The grass is reasonably well maintained but every inch of it is utilised, hence caution is required to protect other golfers .
Don’t expect a warm welcome in the Pro Shop.

Great course, we will be back.
Love the setting. Course was generally in great condition. Pretty quiet and got round without delay. Little bit of work to be done on the tee boxes is the only thing I'd have a niggle about if I had to. No Biggie at all. Lady in the club shop was really helpful and friendly. See you soon!
Good course
Well maintained course with good greens. Longer than the usual 9 hole course with good mixture of holes.
Best local 9 hole course
Excellent mix of hole lengths making a challenging 9 holes rather than just all flat or all par 3 or 4. Greens were still quick despite the overnight rain. Always fun to play
