Cobblestone Golf Course

Solid course overall with some challenging holes that require precision. Although winter time, I was a little disappointed by the conditions of the fairways and tee boxes. Greens overall were good. The starter was very friendly and enjoyed talking to him. Was a busy day so was waiting on every hole, but was moving. Hadn’t played the course in years but just needs a little TLC to be a top notch course.

Booked an afternoon tee time on New Year’s Day. Course was very pretty, especially near the lake. As a high handicap golfer it was challenging but most courses are for me.

The biggest downside was rate of play was insanely slow. My 2 some caught the 3 guys in front of us by hole 2. The 2 some behind us caught up while we waited on the tee box of hole 3 and ended up joining us. Thankfully the views were pretty because most of the round was spent waiting. After 4 hours we only reached 15 before it got too dark to continue. There was no starter or Marshall to keep pace up either.

I’m not sure if it was lower staff for the holiday, being cart path only, people walking, or just overall slow groups that slowed things to a crawl but I hope it’s not the norm. I hope to play here again and actually see the whole course next time but the slow play was brutal.

Although it’s a great course you are better off just calling the actual clubhouse because if you pay on golf now it doesn’t go to the club and they make you pay again

Cobblestone is a fine layout that requires precision iron play and creative shots. I have played here in a couple of years. The course conditions were what I expected for late December. The dormant rough was deep enough to make finding your ball difficult.

We played Cobblestone and enjoyed our round. Weather was 65 degrees and sunny with light winds. The course was clean except for a few greens where the wind was blowing leaves into play. Starter and cart staff were friendly. Play was heavy (day before Thanksgiving) but moved along at a reasonable pace. Course has a good variety of elevation, water, and bunkers for all levels of play. Only drawback was that the greens were rough where resodding/patching was obvious - making the greens very bumpy and hard to read. We will definitely play this course again, though, as it is local and provides a lot of variety.

Turned out to be the perfect day. There was a tournament finishing up. So no one else was on the course. I finished in 2 hours 5 minutes, played through one foursome.

Course fairways were in lush conditions and this is in November.

Greens were fast but a bit bumpy here and there.

Layout is difficult as ever. If you are over 15 Handicap, you will struggle.

Overall, a great day at a great golf course.

This is my 2nd time playing this course and it was just as good as the first round. There are fun challenges and the course is well laid out. There are great views of the lake and the environment is solid.

My only issue was that the starter made out tee off experience rather rushed and weird. I had to surrender my cart (after getting myself all set up on it) and ride with someone I was randomly paired with. Not the end of the world but just made for a frantic experience right at the start. Alot of the tee boxes grass was long and needing to be cut but not a huge issue either.

Ill continue to play this course and will tell anybody else to do the same.

Course was bad. No ranger on course and spent hours and hours behind a very slow and oblivious 4some. No ranger.

Course not in good shape

For as much play traffic this course gets the greens roll so fast you think you were at a private course. The course is challenging as ever. I love coming here for the views. Half the course is rounded by the lake and makes it feel like a links course with native grass and bushes. I have thought of joining many times for that reason alone. Staff is always great. One of the people I played with actually worked there and got good conversation around golf, tips and such.

We had a group in front of us that we waited on for every shot. Finally, my son and I left our foursome and we just skipped a hole and we didn’t see another group the rest of the round. We shouldn’t have to skip a hole as there should be a marshall pushing them.

The course was outstanding otherwise.

VERY SLOW (almost 4 1/2 hrs) due to group in front of us. At one point, the slow group was in the fairway with our (and another group) on the T box waiting. Marshalls were out but did nothing
