About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Enjoyed
Had a great time
Wish there was a cart girl on site
Good holiday weekend
Played this past Sunday early morning.
First, was surprised that an early tee time was available before 9am.
Second, The course is slowly coming back into shape with some rope off areas and bald spots still needing some TLC.
Third, pace of play was pretty good till we hit the 14th hole(par 3). It was backed up 2 groups at around 10:30a so images what it might be later in the day
Overall a pretty good day/time

Slow pace
Was not too happy with the pace of play. The lack of marshals moving things along makes for a negative golf experience. I do like the course, but a marshal is sorely needed. Par 3's generally reset the pace of play but on this day, We were backed up on at 7 different holes with 3 teams waiting their turn. The unnecessarily slow pace always hurts my game.

Diamond in the Rough
You look at the card and it says 5400+ yds from the tips. But that is deceptive! Yes, short holes everywhere but made up for by some dastardly par 3’s!! As many trees as the Amazon rainforest! Surprisingly level tee boxes. Greens that run 9ish. Enough subtle breaks to class as nefarious and slippery. I played this course when it was a 9 hole exec (back when the wheel was square). It’s turned itself into a nice little challenge of a layout! Long knocks gonna have to hit a lot of layups or get used to hitting provisionals! But PLEASE marry up twosomes! Makes no sense for two or three twosomes leading a foursome!

Great Muni Course
Love playing here. Fun course with some short par 4’s for the not so long hitters. Greens are in great shape right now, although people need to learn to fix there ball marks so it can stay that way. Only down side as of this past week, I guess they got new carts. So they make you ride with someone if you are a single. If you want to ride alone, they charge u an extra $35 (almost the price to play) on top of the riding fee they already charged you. I didn’t understand that when I played since two of the guys in the group were walking so we were only going to have two carts anyway. Maybe I’ll just walk next time since it’s not a tough course to walk. Other then that, love this course

Course condition
I have been playing this course for along time, there has been on going improvement with the fairways and greens. Yesterday I was impressed with the course the greens were recently ariated no ball divets smooth rolls were evedent. At this time I absolutely would recommend playing here. Please keep up the obvious good work. I will keep coming back.
