Lone Tree Golf Course
About
Lone Tree Golf & Event Center sits at the base of Mount Diablo State Park, tumbling across rolling hills that provide panoramic views of the scenic San Juaquin River Delta region. It is one of the most popular golf courses among local Bay Area golfers. The name of the course is misleading since the beautiful landscape is covered with mature forests filled with a variety of indigenous trees including majestic Red Oaks, Cypress, Eucalyptus, and Ponderosa Pines. These towering treetops make navigating the course pretty tricky. Accuracy is essential as is precise shot placement. The trees border the rolling fairways and there are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. In 1990, Lone Tree's greens were completely redone except for those on the 12th and 15th, which are the two smallest on the golf course.

Course in great shape
All of the rain has put the course in beautiful shape. It was my first time and I'll for sure be back. Really enjoyed it.
great day for me and my wife
weather was good, course was in good condition, clubhouse and staff right on...all in all a grand experience.
Overall pretty average
Good course, good layout.
The pace of play on a Sunday afternoon was good. A twosome got done in 3.5 hours, which was great.
Greens were bumpy and didn't seem to roll true, and there were a few areas of nasty standing water, while others were bone dry...
Overall a good day, will come back for sure
Never going back
If you don't mind six hour rounds, or a bunch of 5-somes slowing the pace of play down then this is the course for you. There's nothing like putting on a green that has dead spots that look like old fire tracks on it either.
Course conditions
The course has great potential but the up keep is much to be desired; e.g. greens have patches where there is no grass just mud and needs rolling, also fairways need grass cut.
Could have been better condition
This is my home course been playing here for over 30 years. I know we have had some bad weather but it hasn't rained in a few weeks now and they could have mowed the grass a little more. And a lot of the greens I would say was horrible I thought they would have been in better condition than they were. Just hope they get it under control soon.
My First Time
First time playing this course. The course was in pretty good shape considering parts of the back nine were flooded about a week and and a half ago, this according to the people I played with. Like most courses the sand traps lack sand, this course was no exception. The fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens, well some were good and some had some problems. It is not a difficult layout but there are some tough holes. It was a fun group to play with and the 19th tee was very good and not that expensive. Will play this course in the future.
Great!
This is a good course to golf at. Summer twilight times are a great buy.
LTGC Rocks!
Great course & great pace of play! The Staff (inside & outside) are great!
This course has bad green
Putting greens are not in a good condition, except some holes which were in decent shape. I have been been playing there for years and have not seen any major improvement. Rough was really bad and they cut grass but failed to collect grass therefore loosing the ball was easy.
This course is not worth the amount of money they charge to play especially on weekends
soaked
the course is in good shape considering all the rain. it was carts on path only. some fairways with standing water. as it dries it will become better as with all the other courses
Soggy fairways but greens were in good shape
With all the rain in northern California this year it is difficult to find a place to play that is not a quagmire. For the most part Lone Tree was dry enough to walk on the freeway without sinking to your ankles in mud. Needles to say the course has not seen a mower in quite awhile. The round was long because on practically every shot the ball would disappear into long grass or plug in the fairway. The greens were in pretty good shape with not much trouble with footprints.
