About
Lone Tree Golf & Event Center sits at the base of Mount Diablo State Park, tumbling across rolling hills that provide panoramic views of the scenic San Juaquin River Delta region. It is one of the most popular golf courses among local Bay Area golfers. The name of the course is misleading since the beautiful landscape is covered with mature forests filled with a variety of indigenous trees including majestic Red Oaks, Cypress, Eucalyptus, and Ponderosa Pines. These towering treetops make navigating the course pretty tricky. Accuracy is essential as is precise shot placement. The trees border the rolling fairways and there are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. In 1990, Lone Tree's greens were completely redone except for those on the 12th and 15th, which are the two smallest on the golf course.

Lone tree
This course was way over booked. Waited at every tee box for group in front of us at every hole. We left after 11 hole after waiting for the group in front of us (2 of the 3 new jeans) to re tee up a shot at every hole with no Marshall to manage pace of play. Course was in poor condition greens are chewed up. Will not ever play course again. Normally when you tee off at 7:24 your not only through 11 holes after 4 n a half hours
Worst greens I've seen in years!
The greens were aweful! The staff should provide better information to their customers about the overall condition of their course so that golfers can make a educated decision if they want to pay $$ to play golf!!
LoneTree
absolutely great golf course and facility. Very clean and friendly service. The only issue I have is with the greens on most holds. Patches of dirt and dry areas made it difficult to put. Fix that and you have a real winner !
Lone Tree Golf Course is nice to play
Course condition is good. The course has view. Some of the par 3 s are challenging. Staff is very friendly.
Greens
Great course but the greens were in really bad condition. There were patches everywhere on the greens. Fairways were in better shape than the greens.
Drought
Another course that needs the full watering. No real rough and a lot of dry spots off the fairway.
Not for high handicaps.
Nice club house. The course needs improvement. More deep bunkers. More elevation changes, manicures.
Foods very good. The green very bad conditions now.

Fun course with nice challenges.
Have not played here in a while but the price is right! This area is hot and water is lacking but they have did nicely to keep it playable. The greens had dry spots but still played nice and were very fast. Pace of play was a bit slow but we were just behind a local tournament. Full driving range, chipping, and putting areas.
great rate for a weekend but the greens needs help.
The overall course was fine, but the greens are in bad shape and needs some work which made putting a bit harder that it should be due to rough spots and dead greens.
Great course to play
Great course to play if you grew up playing an old style course. I really enjoyed the different elevations from fairway to greens which presented challenges in club selections and lies. Also a great course to play during a hot day since there is an abundance of trees where you can go to between shots while waiting for the group ahead.
DRY AND IN BAD SHAPE
THE COURSE IS VERY DRY AND THE GREENS ARE DRY. PROBABLY DUE TO THE DROUGHT AS IT DID NOT USED TO BE THIS BAD

Always a great price for a quality course in an area with great weather!!
Rough Greens
Fairways out here are in great shape. Pace of play was 4.5 hours on a Saturday (not bad). Greens are in pretty bad shape.
Better than expected
The course was in better than anticipated shape for current drought situation. Greens were in above average condition for this time of year. Pace of play was great for a Friday AM.. We finished in 3 1/2 hours as a twosome behind a foursome who played at a great pace.
Great shape geens...bring your sand wedge
I played on Sunday afternoon.. It was a hot day 95
but a little breeze made it ok. The greens were good
fairways good . Pace of play was Country Club...
because of HOT weather kept the duffers at home..
round was 3 1/2 hours. The club house was very good.
Food/service excellent. Foe 25$ great deal.. about 1 hour drive... will play again.
No fuss golf
All-around good time. Hardly anyone out there on a Sunday at 2pm. Greens were great. Good mix of hills. I'd play again for $30
