Nice Little Par 3
This is a really nice, quick par 3. I often play it for a quick escape after work. It’s pretty well managed and has some fairly challenging holes for a 9 hole. It’s makes for a quick round and you can expect to be done in around an hour. Overall it’s a nice, fun little course set in lovely surroundings and a great place to escape to and practice your game.
Westerham 9 Hole
Quick Little 9 hole course.
Not a fan of the double size cups but Im sure it's great for first timers.
Great for beginners
Lovely 9 hole, par 3 course
Lovely par 3 course.
Lovely par 3 course, played with a novice and we both was able to enjoy, I would prefer the greens to be slightly shorter but value for money wise its brilliant.
Great par three course, although greens could be cut lower.
Great par 3 course for the money, playing with a novice and both was able to enjoy the round, Value for the money is brilliant.
Good fun
Nice, fun course and great for a beginner to get prepared for a proper round of golf. Good challenge with bunkers and water, as well as some challenging hills. Great condition with friendly and helpful staff.
Course conditions
I Thought the tees were in great condition, however I couldn’t notice the fairways, plus there was lots of moss.
The Putting greens varied, recently drainage holes were on the greens and there was noticeable animal holes on a few of the greens, not a lot can be done about that I guess.
This was our first time on the Churchill course, it played nicely and I’m sure we’ll be back.
Beginner golfer
After going to the driving range a few times me and my friend decided to go and play 9 holes at westerham. It’s a great little course for people of all abilities. The course has some tricky holes and will help amateur golfers improve. There’s also some great facilities such as a driving range, putting Green, short game area, pro shop and for the more advanced golfer a picturesque 18 hole course. Overall a great place with reasonable prices.
A pleasanthour
It was a pleasant time playing this little course. Great views north. A decent test, though good for beginners. Greens had lots of grit on them when we played and all teeing areas were mats, so neither was the best.
Not as well looked after as the 18
Great course for value for money and I would play again once the course conditions have improved as it felt a bit neglected in comparison to the 18 which looked squeaky clean
Poor course
Such a shame this course doesn’t get any proper care. Has a lot of potential to be a good short 9 hole course, but the difference in quality from the 18 hole course is staggering. Me and my friend payed £30 for the two of us. I have played at numerous 9 hole golf courses of far superior quality that are much cheaper. This course was the worst I have played on in recent memory yet the most expensive! The layout of the course is decent, it’s very short with every tee box (tee off from mats not a proper tee box) a short walk from the previous green. It is a nice little course for beginners, but it is too short and lacks personality to warrant the price charged. The greens, (if you can call them that) are patchy, and the grass is worse than some fairways I have played on. I found after a couple of holes that putting was a waste of time as they were completely different from any green I would play on, such was the poor quality. In conclusion, the price is ridiculous and it is a shame to see such potential wasted and no care given to the course. Please invest more money into it. Bear in mind I played during the summer, which is probably the best the course will be, I can’t even begin to imagine how poor it must be during the winter..
Needs cutting severely, good potential if its cared for, shame as some clever holes here.
First Visit to 9 hole Churchill
Chose a rainstorm to visit, but didn't detract from the course. All par threes, changing from a heathland style for the first five holes and rather a fetching parkland layout for the next four. No map on the card made for a couple of hiccups, especially with the 4th over the bank. Think I might have been shortchanged with a bucket of balls costing £6 for 15! However, a morning on a golf course is always a good thing, and wil be back in the spring.
Great academy course for beginners
As a beginner golfer I found the par-3 sufficiently challenging but less intimidating than a full course and enjoyed playing it.
