DeBell Golf Club

I’m a 12 handicap and find this course extremely difficult., It plays much more difficult than the 120 slope it is rated at for the blue tees. The fairways can be narrow with OB and the greens can be small. There are alot of blind shots and greens and fairways can be guarded by trees requiring a draw or a fade. You can be punished severely if your distance control is off. If you are not relatively straight you’ll lose balls. The course isn’t long, but requires a more precise shot than a mid handicap or high handicap player may consistently possess. I usually play longer more forgiving courses with similar slope ratings in the 120-130 and do fine. I will not play this course again until I’m a mid single digit handicapper. I did not enjoy playing here and don’t recommend it for mid and high handicap players.

Nice course. Some holes are fairly short but the layout is nice. Greens were good. Food is good. Great value.

Pace of play is extremely slow. No marshal around to speed up play. The group in front of me should have been playing from the Red Tees, instead of trying to play from the Blue Tees.

Peaceful vibes, most of the time theres deer throughout the course. The course is on a hill, so most of the putts break to the same direction on the greens. Ive played alot of courses and this is top 3 for my tastes. Not a long course, dont really need a driver off most tees as there are blind shots and sharp doglegs. Tricky course. Hole one is a par 5, had only a 8 iron to hit the green on the second shot with a good drive. Stay rite on that fairway though, trees on the left limit ur options for the second shot.

Great course to play, definitely worth the value. Scenery is epic too.
