Rating 68.9

DeBell Golf Club in Burbank offers an 18-hole Regulation Course and a nine-hole disc golf course. The Regulation Course has a tight layout with narrow fairways and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is the key to doing well on this golf course but it's not overly punishing. Its risk-reward holes will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. The front nine is fairly challenging but the back nine is where the golf course gets tough. Although DeBell Golf Club is short, only 5,608 yards from the back tees, the blind shots and winding doglegs make it seem much longer than it is. There isn't any water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss its presence with all the other hazards that lurk throughout.

Mountain goat returns

This is the first course I schedule to play every time I fly into LA. Views are postcard worthy. Not a long course but you will use every club in your bag. Pace of play on a Saturday, from what I’m told, is good for an LA public course. Residents may be use to it but 5.5 hrs is way too long for me.green and fairways I would say are in good condition considering the amount of traffic. Driving range is nothing special but adequate. Clubhouse and restaurant is very nice. Holes 1-9 gets you warmed up. A 3 hybrid will get you around even par. Holes 10-18 get ready to climb. You can break out your driver but a 3 wood will keep you in play and give you a better shot at par. Good luck reading the greens. This is the 4th time playing and I still have trouble seeing the breaks. Nice 75 degree sunny day was almost too warm for the pace of play. All in all it was a fun day.

Willy Wonka designed this while smoking crack

If you like a ridiculous challenge with tons of midrange tight window shots and 200 yard par 3s, or if you enjoy punching yourself in the face, this course is for you. Play it on an absurdly windy day like today and you’ll never want to come back here, like me.

Great course for the money

This course is exceptionally nice for the price that you pay. Other than the location it is an excellent course to play.

Don’t waste your time or money

Was excited to play this course based on the reviews saying it was in great shape - I highly suspect those reviewers are not authentic. This course is in horrendous shape and the Pro shop employee was a jerk - wouldn’t let us check in when we arrived (30 minutes before our tee time) and he tried to force us into an earlier tee time, claiming that GolfNow messed it up. If you need to play in the area, the Griffith Park courses are a much better option.

Fairly Difficult Course for Beginners, But A Fun Challenge

Love playing this course in the hills. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is awesome.

The course is tucked into a mountain and includes many dog legs with up and down hill plays. Great course to test a novice’s skill set.

tough layout

course was in rough condition due to weather but i could tell when the weather is right the course is short but tough. A lot of placement shots needed off the tee in order to score.

i like this course. It's the course to play with all your iron in your bag. green is perfect but most of Tee Boxes need to be repair and sand traps too.

Good vistas, and wild life

Setting expectations about this course is key. For the deal I got on the GolfNow app it was good. It has pretty mountain and canyon view, with squirrels and deer that are not shy. The course itself is in decent shape. The staff and club house are super nice, good service. There are no beverage carts so you better stock up on fluids.

Stay away ! Quirky, awkward, pointless.

Blind shots, terrible fairways, slow play. There are few holes on this course which are not stolen from the average "Putt-Putt - mini golf course" layout. The only thing missing was the windmill & Clowns mouth. There were more dog-legs on this course than the animal rescue league of Southern CA has. I can see no legitimate reason for this course to exist. Turn it into an amusement park because it's a joke.

Nice short course

Overall liked course. Front nine dont have to use driver, placement more important. Back has little more straighter not so many dog legs. Some tee boxes pretty bare, sand bunkers minimal sand and wet. Putting surface little ragged, had to putt through some rough spots few times.

Fun course

I enjoyed playing here. Course was in good shape except for the bunkers. Lots of stones and small rocks in them. They were packed pretty tight too. Pace of play was a bit slow but I went mid day. It could be normal.

Great “Spot Golf” for the money

While the greens were slow and a bit haggard on the course (probably from overseeding) the course was challenging and fun. It’s a great test of spot golfing. You’ll have to tee off with irons on half the holes but it’s a great way to test your patience.
