DeBell Golf Club

Played DeBell as my usual course in Fontana is being re-seeded and I normally play on Sundays, so played here today. Great company, play was slow due to number of players, but to be expected on a weekend.

Staff and community rocked! Club house and course and practice green nice. From out of town so had to rent clubs and that was disappointing for the proce although Gwen did make it better for me in the end with smiles and aome ammenities... thanks again Gwen!

Too tall ball gets lost easily. Need to shorten it.

Course was is in great shape. Challenging course layout. Makes you use your clubs. Don’t be fooled by the yardage.

Decent course, could use some maintenance and better distance marks.

I booked a single as I found some extra kill time. First of all parking is divided which is not a big deal. Signage was too poor to lead me to proper parking lot. Obviously the overflow parking is the only available parking as the parking lot in front of the office building is scarce to none. The driving range is ALLLL the way back of the parking lot. So you have to park, walk to the pro shop across the street, and cross the road again to walk all the way through the parking lot to get to the driving range. And the range's condition is horrible.

Then I was paired with 3 more guys. One claims he's soon to be pro am who owns a pot shop and who was high throughout the whole round. He's pretty good but not really good enough to be any sort of competitive player. He keeps throwing lots of cursing words during the entire 18 hole play. The other two were just loud and both were drunk during the whole round and one apparently wanted to befriend the pot guy as he owns a pot shop and they started smoking pot together. Horrible crowd.

And the course quality didn't really help. Green was like it has been bombed recently, rough was just ridiculously long grass and the whole course is intertwined with roads. The three guys were regulars there so I didn't really have trouble finding next hole but w/o them it would've been pretty difficult.

I would never go back there.

Some more maintenance on the greens would be awesome, fun track though

Tucked away gem in Burbank. Love the mountainous surroundings. Great course.

Just disappointed that "Golf Now" will not honor bonus bucks if if you don't book 3 days ahead. My schedule is crazy busy and I never know when I can jump on a course. So I never get to use my stored up money.

Nestled in hills close to city but still away from the city.

Narrow fairway in front 9, require course management more then back 9.

I first played here when I was 14. Took 30 years off the game, been playing for a year now and came back to see my old friend. I had forgotten how narrow the back nine was. However, after playing the much more open front nine, you were then challenged to hit them straighter. The problem now is the nines have been reversed. Our group struggled the entire front nine (the old back nine) and made some enemies as a result. This is a beautiful mountain course, not pretentious, but interesting. The #10 (the original #1)hole is a long, uphill par 4 and will slow down most golfers, BUT so does #1 (the old #10). A short downhill dogleg par 5, but very narrow and easy to lose balls left and right, slowing down play anyways. In fact, the start of the course is so narrow, it slowed us down almost the whole nine. PLEASE CONSIDER SWITCHING THE NINES BACK THE WAY Wiliiam F. designed them. If he wanted the course to play in this order, he would have numbered the holes that way. It is not the same course I used to play and love.

Fair way grass is fine but the sides too high and need trimming so that balls don’t disappear in the grass.

Love the price and the layout is pretty tight. Good course and conditions are great! Better than most municipal golf courses in la!

Have golfed here several times. Have read other reviews, and sometimes the negative ones have merit, but definitely for the most part, they are great most of the times.

Course was in good condition rough is now an issue with a lousy golfer like me.

Greens are a little hard to read each green had a different feel
