About
Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course is an executive layout that is one of the area's best values. It's not a terribly formidable course but it's great for getting in some short game practice. The course is gentle enough for beginners and juniors, making it a good place for families. Opened in 1959, Rancho Carlsbad has a classic layout that is shorter and tighter than most modern golf courses. You won't come across too much trouble on this layout. There are hardly any bunkers but their absence is accommodated for with convex greens that allow the ball to run down to the other edge if you're not careful. You will also have to tee off over a stream on a few holes. Accuracy is generously rewarded but the layout isn't too punishing if you're slightly errant.

Great course for everyone. Has many different conditions which I like.
Nice little executive course
The back 9 was closed due to tree trimming so I wasn’t able to experience the true benefits of the course. Pace of play was very poor but must be attributed to the back being closed off. However, I would like the opportunity to play the course again under normal conditions.

Great Staff, Low key, Fun course
Easy going atmosphere, very low key rustic but well maintained. Easy course to walk. Varied terrain. Always a fun time.
Nice little par 3
I mean it’s a par 3 course. Very flat layout but fun still. You can sometimes play this course for 17 dollars and it’s worth it to me. Mornings will get frost on the green. Had a great time and will probably be back to work on my short iron game

No pressure golf
It's a nice short-game course, all par 3, and not crowded even on Sunday. Good especially if you haven't played in a few months. Some really muddy spots. No water (thumbs up) but you do have to hit over the creek, not my fave. We had a great time hanging out and playing.

Great Walk On Course
Air pods in my ears, pushcart rollin’ and I am happy! This course is my local go to when I have a break in my schedule and can get away for a quick 9 holes. Friendly staff, great pricing. The only complaint is that the greens are shaped like anthills.
