Los Lagos/La Vista at Desert Princess Country Club

Fun course, good condition, good pace of play. Would play again..

Very nice round. My only complaint would be the awful service at the food takeout window. They have a bell to ring for service. No one came. I had to go in to the restaurant and ask to be served. Waited 15 mins for a bagel and asked 3 different people during that time for information. I finally had to go in to the restaurant again. Meanwhile, there was someone in the takeout area listening to the radio. After 9 we stood waiting to order a beer. No one came. Back into the restaurant to ask for service. Went back out. No one came so we left. Close the window if you can't provide a service. Just frustrating.

The two nines we played were quite different in their conditioning, one was green and lush the other was dry and brown. Not bad but there’s better values out there.

We enjoyed our round of golf. Staff was very friendly. Course was in good condition and pace of play was good. Holes with water are challenging. The 19th hole was excellent. Food,drinks and staff were awesome.

This course was under reseeding with no driving range or putting green. Played the Vista course twice. Course is in good shape and do recommend it.

I’m not a big review guy but I have to leave one for here. Just stay away from this place. The whole experience was awful, We thought this was going to be bad before stepping on the tee box and we were right. First, we were not notified that we are playing the same 9 holes twice. The lady in the pro shop was laughing saying that we were lucky to be even playing at this time of year. I understand that it’s overseeding season but there is a good dozen other courses we could have played and have already played on this trip.

The course was a goat track with patched together greens that haven’t been cut in a week. The rough turns to dirt near the green where you have to move the ball out every time. The greens crew clearly haven’t golfed before driving right behind us trying to tee off.

They’re staying open to suck money out of visitors on the off season. They should close and maintain it properly before sending paying guests out there. Just save your time and and money and look elsewhere. We wasted a whole morning at this place.

We played 9 holes twice. because of over-seeding.

It should be informed when I booked the tee time.

I showed and learned that only the Vista 9 was open and that I would have to play it twice. Golf Now should have let us know this in advance. Then, I came upon an eightsome on the third hole, which was absurd. They wouldn’t let our threesome through on the fourth tee, so I said no thanks to this nonsense and drove back to the pro shop to ask for a credit or a voucher to play another day. Of course, the club’s policy is not to give refunds, so I had to eat the $48. At least, the pro shop attendant said he would try to do something about the eightsome, but it was too late for me. It will be some time before I try Desert Princess again.

its the time of year that courses here reseed. They had failed to warn me and others that only 9 holes were open, which we were supposed to play twice then.

The wind was howling and fine dust was everywhere, especially on the 9 holes that were open. Sometimes couldn’t see the fairway for dust.

Not enjoyable at all.

Twice before there I have showed up at 1 only to be told that carts have to be in at 3:30. Again they failed to warn us. Not good service.

Pleasantly surprised! Play golf all the time and just played here! Great location, views, some traps and fairways need attention, but overall good golf course! I will play again!
