El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek

About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Great weather and beautiful course
I hit the electric tower wire with my driver shot.
It landed on the fairway luckily.
The hotdog is really good and I also like that the fact that the golf courses were super green after some rain.
Prado getting an Ego
Average round here 5-6 hours. No Marshall. No cart girl. Just ridiculous. Course has so much potential.
Wet Morning Great Conditions
The course was wet and soggy. The greens were recently punched so they rolled bumpy. The tees and fairways were in great shape. The men in the pro shop are always nice and personable. Thank you!
Decent greens in the front, back 9 ...
The fairway of the course was in good condition, however the greens were terrible. Way too bumpy and holes on greens.
Hopefully they will get repaird.
Course in decline
I had played El Prado Chino Creek years ago. Then, the greens were in excellent shape! They putted true and were quick. I was disappointed in the conditions of the greens this time. Also the customer service was not very good. The starter was pretty much nonexistent. The 1st tee was open for over 10 minutes. When my time to tee off, I went to the tee and teed off. Nobody called the time at all. I played the first 3 holes alone, then joined another twosome. The bunkers are not in good shape either. My playing companions wouldn't play from them at all.
Good golf day
Tee’s off on Chino Creek on time. There was a tournament going on the other course so that was busy but not on our course. The 2 some I was paired off with never showed so I asked the 2 some after me to join. Overall it was a good experience. The course was good with a couple of areas that were unplayable/under repair. Had a good time on and off the course
Long time El Prado patron
This course is close to me, I have played here for thirty years. Fix the tee boxes!!!! The greens are super bumpy, but I like it when they’re fast.
I know it gets a lot of play, but if they could just improve a few things it would change the whole feeling. I like that it’s pretty cheap to play, but it would make the round more enjoyable if it was a little better on the upkeep side.
Wont finish if you tee of at 1pm.
Took a buddy there to play for his first time. A few of my friends are new golfers and looking to get memberships at a local course. He wanted to try El Prado since he read great things, and it's been a year or so since I last played.
Tee was 107pm. I understand it is a weekend and pace of place might have been slow.
We did not tee until almost 145. Even worse? Played until 6pm and did not finish more than 14 holes. Pace of play was horrendous and random people kept jumping in front of us and joining other groups. There were groups of 5 and 6 playing together and the Marshall did not care. Try to ask some of the people who jumped ahead who they were playing with and then they pretend to not speak English lol.
Appeared someone people had later individual tee times and drove through the course to catch up with their friends to play 5 or even 6 man groups.
Worst pace of play in my life and complete waste of money. Looks like another few year break from Prado at least. Better off playing or getting your membership at Cresta Verde, worse course conditions but at least you'll get to play golf.
Getting worse
The course environment is really terrible. Many areas of the fairway have no grass, making it uneven, muddy, and waterlogged. The grass on the greens is patchy, and the green on hole 7 is only half covered with grass, while the rest is bare mud. The restrooms are filled with a strong urine odor, as pungent and irritating as ammonia.
