I rated on previous play
Unfortuneatly I had to cancell on the 4th, but they let me book on the 10th at the same time.
They are normally very good and the course is usually in good shape.
Reasonable condition, slow pace.
The course, and particularly the greens were in good condition,
staff is friendly, but I mentioned to the marshall that the group in
front was playing slow and had 2 holes open in front, He said it
was a public course with all kinds of players, and suggested we
just enjoy the day.
We played as a foursome. Recommend this course to those
with patience.
Flat Fun
Though it is flat is a pancake, this course has some of the longer holes you'll see in the area, (230yd par 3 - 632 par 5 - 454yd par 4) so playing from blue tees makes it challenging. The back nine has some tighter holes, but the back and forth layout doesn't seem claustrophobic. The course is always in pretty good shape and they typically don't let the pace lag too badly. Good range, putting practice area and sports bar.
This is a long coarse.
The course is in great shape right now. They do have a marshal, who is very polite, driving the course making sure play times are optimal.
Great Muni Course
Course in great shape especially greens. Good value
Like this course
While pretty long for an old guy, I do like this course very much.
It is well maintained, greens are challenging but fair.
Excellent practice facility.
Staff terrific. The marshals take their jobs seriously, concentrate on pace of play and are friendly.
your website needs work...cannot drag the slider! the golf course is set up for the casual golfer. not too many hazards and it is flat.
drainage is a bit of a problem b/c it is flat. course can be soggy and fairways can be thin and muddy in spots. if dry, ball rolls far. sand in traps could be better. greens are great, big and fast with lots of character. this course is great for the bogey golfer or for a really good golfer who wants to shoot low. overall, I really like the course and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Rates on Friday are at weekly rate...great value!
Greens in great condition
Course plays fast, front 9 alternates going into, then with the wind. Greens and course are pretty well maintained overall and the staff was friendly. Deciduous trees make it less punishing in winter months, but you pay for errant tee shots nonetheless. Rough is relatively short and greens are large and play pretty fast. It rained the morning I played, but the course seems like it would drain/dry very well due to the wind. Very flat, but long, so distance and accuracy off of the tee are important. Good variety in par 3 and par 5 length. A few doglegs here and there but nothing too extreme. I'd like to play this course again after I've been playing with a little regularity. Recommended.
7:20 tee time back nine, the course was wide open!
I enjoyed the round with my son, we were able to finish the round of golf close to 9:00am just in time for breakfast! Fun golf course!
the course was fun.
Had a good time, had played the course about twenty year ago.
will start playing it more. Since I just started playing the game again.
Great course flat, yet challenging.
I have played this course many times, it always brings challenges worth returning. A fairly good price at 53$ at 10 am on sunday.
This course was great.
It was easy to play because there was no up dowm hill.
I would like to recommend this course to people who prefers walking.
Excellent course.
Great for long hitters and bombers. Greens are well maintained.
Course review
The course and greens are in a great shape. the staff is friendly but the carts are very old and they really need to get new ones..
Nice People, Priced well
I play here regularly. Staff is friendly, prices are fair. $41.00 for 18 holes, cart and lunch or breakfast. We did get stuck behind a fivesome, marshal did not seem to be concerned with their slow pace of play.
Diablo Creek
Carts are way too old for a course that charges what they do.
Great layout, challenging greens
Played the ranch course. Each hole is distinct, with its own challenges, so course management is in the forefront, as is careful reading of the very subtle greens.
On the downside, they need more drinking water available and the flies were bothersome.
This course has some fun holes and the price to challenge value is good.
The front nine has wide fairways but provides a nice challenge with two 580 yd. + pars 5's that seem to always be "into the wind". The back nine is much tighter and requires consistent tee shots into the fairway to provide approach shots to the greens for par. The course greens are almost always in good shape and they are moderately fast but fair.
A nice walk in the park
Diablo Creek is a fairly long mostly flat layout , water come in to play on a few holes. The challenge could come from the elements i.e. wind and heat on most days. Keep it straight and you should have a good round.
