Top 3 ATL Muni
Love Browns Mill! Easy, straightforward, but fun layout; decent conditioning; great patrons; fair price. One of my top 3 favorite area munis.
Clubhouse was locked…
Showed up for a 6:45 AM tee time to a group of 8 golfers waiting outside the clubhouse. People continued to show up with no staff to be found. I’m writing this sitting in my car at 7:25 AM, and the clubhouse is still locked. Better yet, I can’t get my money back on GolfNow. I’m not one to write bad reviews, but come on. A full days worth of golfers overpaid for a dog track, just to show up and not be able to play. I’m done playing cheap courses. You get what you pay for.
Nice round at Browns Mill
My second round here. I’m fairly new and love the course layout - fairly flat, straight and nice fairway widths. The course was very wet, but this is understandable after a week of daily hard rains.
Slow players in front
Would be nice for newbies to be advised that there are people behind them and allow them to play through instead of playing 9 holes that takes over 3 hours.
This course is a hidden gem. Easy access off 85, great people, bathroom very clean, course is well taken care of and a great staff.
The greens are horrid. the course design and layout is fun and has potential, but you may as not putt on the greens.
Browns mill
Was a nice course. Fairways wide open but greens were hard and firm. Did need some water. Course was packed. Even though I was a single the course paired me with 3 others to make a foursome as that helped pace of play. I didn't like that some folks were walking there round and that slowed the pace down. Course needs to refrain from walkers when the Course is that full. Other than that was pleased with the course as a whole.
