Always Fun
I have been playing here off and on for 20+ years. Really a gem in Atlanta. Course conditions are not always great (hole #3) however its a fun course for an afternoon walk and golf. Always enjoy playing here. It is what it is for the money. I appreciate the ability to have such a course in Atlanta!!
Great value, fun layiut
Don’t expect anything this course isn’t, but it is a good quick 9. Half the greens are great and half the greens are dodgy. Watch out for some sandy tee boxes but the fairways and rough are all well maintained. For $15 in the middle of Atlanta it’s a good course to keep the rust off.
Great course for learning with my 14 year old daughter. We will be back.
Sunday round of golf
Looking to play a quick 9 on Sunday. Golf Course has a nice layout for an executive course. Course shape is not the best. Tee boxes are well used, fairways are not mowed, and greens are super slow. Otherwise a nice course to practice some shot making instead of visiting a range.
Candler
Definitely my home course and represents golf in the city but the real ATL
Tee Box Bunkers??!!
This course needs a lot of work but doubt it will get it.
Honest rating
Love playing here. The layout is great, every hole is interesting and fun. Scale back your expectations for course conditions because the city doesn’t show the course much love. Even so, the staff is fantastic and the value is ridiculous.
Candler Park golf course
This is a great location. The course could use more manicuring, but it’s a public course maintained by the city.
When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely by Soloman. He was so helpful, made sure we understood the course, and set us up with a cart to pull our bags with. It would be great if this course could buy new carts for use. They kind of seem like they will fall apart easily, they look pretty old and abused. This is a great course for practice, which is what I was looking for .
Get what you pay for.
Overall give the course 3 stars just in reference to what I would think is a 5 star course. The course is a great value for the money, great place to practice your game.
Fun course for the money
Enjoyable course. Not in the best shape in terms of tee boxes and greens but a lot of effort seems to be going into course improvements. It’s a great 9 hole course to tighten up your game.
Getting better
Course was in better shape than when I last played it, though the tee boxes were mostly dirt. A couple of the greens needed a little work, and they weren't holding my approach shots. But I will play here again. Best value for the price.
Cheap for a reason
Greens were the length of grass in your front yard, fairways were as thick as rough, and the rough was knee high unkept. We lost multiple balls that we saw land just because they were hidden in the thick. Every tee box was a dirt patch. We’ll make fun of our buddy who suggested this place forever.
