Charlie Yates Golf Course

Nice little 9 hole course with 6 par 3s and 3 par 4s perfect for a quick round . Greens where in pretty good shape while I was there . Course layout was nice

Great short course for walking and long enough to bring the driver out on a few holes

Walkable executive course with 3 par 4s and 6 par 3s. Unless you need to for health reasons don’t spend the extra money for a cart. It’s cart path only for the entire course and you’ll only save a few steps. Nice but busy practice facility, and the staff is super friendly. Play this course regularly if you want to improve from 150 in.

Yesterday, I was booking a tee time for today. Unfortunately, I hit the button to select 1:10 PM for Monday instead of Tuesday.

So, there was no place on the app to change the reservation so I went to the golf course to have them change the reservation and they couldn’t do it either.

I’ve been told by not only Golf now but by the golf course that I just have to eat the $29. Well, if the golf course can’t change the tee time and the golf now app can’t change the tee time then I won’t use either anymore.

I refuse to eat $29 because of the lack of technology to change a simple tee time.

Pace of play was the biggest issue. Took 2.5 hours to play 9 holes which is ridiculous. At one point took nearly an hour to play 3 holes. Had been stuck waiting on a group of 4 and a pair ahead of us to play every hole (club house didn’t pair groups at all).

Course was fair condition. Tee boxes were very rough. One hole is a mat from a concrete pad which I found ridiculous for the cost. Greens were probably the highlight on each hole but no one fixes their divots on the greens (played very soft). We haven’t had rain all month but there were parts where you were walking through slop in fairway. Didn’t love being pressured do donate money on 7th hole.

Every course accessible to the public, low to no pretense, practice facilities with beginners and experts side by side, lots of lessons, programs for kids, and a fun course that doesn’t humiliate you (but still asks for some good shots) and doesn’t take all day to play. Love CY.

I always have a great time playing the course, pace of play is always on point.

I think the tee times need to be decreased. By hole 4 the course waa completey backed up.

Hadn't played Charlie Yates in many years, but had a great time for a quick 9 holes. Friendly staff, neat course layout with some challenging water features. Good value, right by East Lake.
