Desert Dunes Golf Course has a unique layout that combines a traditional links design with true desert-style golf. The course winds through natural sand dunes that are accented with mature trees and an abundance of native vegetation. It offers one of the most challenging rounds in the valley with narrow fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and fast, sloped greens. Collection areas and strategically placed bunkers border the greens. The most interesting of these bunkers can be found on the ninth and 18th holes where it sits in the center of the signature double green. There are also water hazards that come into play on several holes. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as the opportunity to play amongst wildlife including rabbits, roadrunners, bobcats, and even the occasional desert kit fox.

Great course at good value.

Greens were a little slow, but rolled well. Fairways in great shape with only a few dry areas. I was surprised that you have to buy range balls separately, but ok at $58. I would definitely return.

Staff go above and beyond! Really like this course!

Staff are great. They consistently go above and beyond. Always helpful, kind, friendly. The course, for me, is challenging. Which I like! Fairway is narrow with rolling hills. The layout is great. Always a positive experience. Highly recommend!

Good day. No wind.

Course was in good shape. Slower groups waived me through playing as a single. Teed off at 930. Got around in 2:35. There was a beverage cart. Very nice young lady.

What a fun little course! Got a great deal but an early start time. Had ice to contend with coming down the mountain from Big Bear, and was about 10 mins late. Was treated very well by the guy who checked me in, and he suggested I join up with a couple of local guys.Their course knowledge was invaluable, and helped to make shot choices, etc , and we finished at @ the 3 hr mark, and I went I to go around again. This is the only gripe I have, and it is negligible , although somewhat annoying. Prior to my purchasing the original round, I had called the course an de inquired re replay price. I was told it was the ludicrously low price of $10.00. Upon arrival, I asked again, and was told $15. At the time of replay, was charged $25, but who's going to complain? I was allowed to go off the back as there was a bunch up of groups on # 1. I saw no one, only roadrunners, and flew through the back again. Was joined by another gentleman on #1, and we had a great time.

Everything on the course is right in front of you, no hidden " gotchas" on course. If you can't play here, take up fishing. Never saw the course before, and played exactly to my handicap. Everyone got their own cart except for I'm assuming married couples. The local guys were grousing about the overseeiding not taking well, but the conditions were the best I've seen since summer at Lake Arrowhead country club, which is a private course. In short, go if you can, I will be.

Great conditions. Great value

This place always seems to get not so good reviews but this was my third tine playing this each. Course is more a links course. In good shape. You can get great deals. Pace of play is great. Staff is friendly. My experience has always been positive. I recommend playing it. They tell me if it’s windy it can be brutal. I haven’t experienced wind there.

Play it. You can go wrong
