Desert Dunes Golf Course

Course is in poor shape. Greens were horrible. No maintenance. Not worth the trip.

Staff from pro shop to starter and marshal all very pleasant. Carts are all vey good. The course was reasonably ok for play at the price. The greens are mottled but roll pretty well. There were areas where clover was overtaking the fairway edges and the rough. There were places where green side rough areas were very deep. Overall the course could stand for some TLC.

Very poor greens , conditions were very rough . Lots of blind tee shots and approach shots . Sand was like concrete . Never play it again

We played this course yesterday and were extremely disappointed in the conditions of Desert Dunes. The bunkers were mud and full of water, the greens were splotchy and untrue. The fairways were mostly OK, but in a lot of places the grass was so long the balls couldn't be found. The rough was like PGA rough. Way too long for the average player, unless you have a spotter and many spectators lining the fairways.

We used to love golfing here but doubt if we'll be back.

This course is a Robert Trent Jones design, so the course lay out is great.

In the distant past when fairways were full and greens were kept immaculate it was one of the best plays in the Coachella Valley.

Now the sand traps are hard dirt and greens are spotty.

The course could be great again if those 2 things were dealt with.

Course conditions have gone downgill over the past number of years. Greens were unplayable, water fratures dry, garbage all over the course and no one monitoring pace of play.

The course was in very good condition for this time of year.

For the course conditions and the value for the money I was forced to give one star, but I feel one is too many. You should absolutely not play here. $90 is robbery. Robert Trent Jones Jr. should be upset that they are using his name to drive business to the course.

A great Irish links style experience.

Interesting course. Great staff and clubhouse. Extremely slow play. We moved along pretty well on the front, but the back was very slow. Took about 90 minutes to do the first four holes on the back. Waiting every hole. When we ran into two groups waiting to tee off on 14 we gave up. Too cold that day to sit around waiting to hit.

Unfortunately the course is in poor condition & it's very windy.

Very nice course and playable for all levels of golfers. It was breezy and my tip is if playing into the wind particularly on the par threes take at least one extra club.

The starter( a Canadian) was very friendly and helpful and set me up with a couple of members who gave me plenty of advise on the course strategy.

A really enjoyable game and good value which shows you don't have to pay $200 dollars in this area.

The course is nicely designed with a good variety of difficulties. Staff at the reception did its best to welcome the visitors. On the other hand the maintenance was really poor with slow and spotty greens, grass uneven on fairways and tees. Least to complain about were the bunkers with enough quality sand.

Greens were great. Fairways mostly good. Overall we were happy with the conditions. 30 mph winds when we played

Great layout,but very poor conditon on some holes.This should be a 50.00 green fee,no more.
