Desert Dunes Golf Course

Where do I even begin…

-Took 20 minutes for us to get a cart. Short staff with no carts available.

-Tee times were running behind because the staff mismanaged the large group ahead of us. It was total chaos.

-Course was in terrible shape. Inconsistent playing surface which was take. Over by clover. Greens were awful.

-Didn’t see the bev cart until the 10th hole.

-went to the bar at the turn and there was no one staffing it. When someone finally showed up they spoke little English and couldn’t make a simple drink.

This place is the worst run club I’ve ever seen and it’s not even close. Save you money, go somewhere else.

The course was very fun. It’s narrow and the desert is immediately next to fairways, but not so narrow you cannot play it.

Ver good condition. Pace of play was very slow. 5 hour round. That is never much fun.

Course in over all good shape however many entry areas with untrimmed thick high grass. Looking forward to seeing restaurant in full swing again! Such a fun course and happy to see it looking better!

We love a good GOLFNOW deal, but this course didn’t meet our expectations.

We arrived 40 min early to warmup, and they didn’t have a clean golf cart ready for us for 30 minutes. More time wasted.

Then, they allowed a group to jump in front of us on the first tee (which quickly turned into us playing behind 4 carts, 6 bags and 8 people! - it was a circus! Disappointed by the condition of the course as well - plinko greens, dirty bathrooms, didn’t see a bev cart until the 13th hole.

The track was decent but overall Desert Dunes didn’t seem to be managed well at all.

First 2 times here played into a 3 then 2 club winds so playing in a slight breeze was perfect. 4h15 round not fast some marshalling to speed things up a bit would have been helpful. A single ahead of us playing 2 balls refused to hook up with the single we let play through. Thankfully after hole 6 he jumped over to start at #1 again.Nice track for the price and a fun play so no other complaints.Bonus mother bobcat with 2 babies crossed fairway on group ahead of us and 1 kitten chased down & stole pink ball that lady 2 groups ahead was playing.Cute moment.

Teed off at 1:05 and got 16 holes before dark. The conditions on this course have improved in the past couple years. Zero wind made it a bit less difficult for us mid- handicappers. Some greens extremely fast around the hole. Overall, a decent option on a calm weather day.

They have done a lot with the course. Was really impressed with the conditions. The greens are fast and fairly smooth but a little bumpy. Overall very impressed and a great value and good pace for a weekend

2nd time playing here first time 3 club wind today only a 2 club wind. Wind amplifies your mistakes, challenges your distances estimates, club selection and shot making choices & wears you out. Love the setting, layout and beauty of the place but would sure like to try it on a calm day. I guess all those wind turbines nearby are a bit of a giveaway lol. Reasonable price and a bit of a drive from Indian Wells but worth it.

Course was in very good shape, will play again.

We didn't realize we had played this course 5 years ago until driving up ! It's in much better shape now ! Greens were excellent no ball marks ! All divots were filled in on fairways- there were 2 workers behind us fixing ball marks on greens and missed fairways divots- I have NEVER experienced this not even at extremely expensive courses !

Friendly staff- pace was 4:15 hours . Only knock the layout is wonky, and tight. Reminds me a bit of courses in western washington with trees lining the fairway on several holes.

The price was great Hot Deal at 9 AM booked the day before can't beat it in this area in winter paying $44.00 per person. Had to buy range balls, No big deal.

Overall the course was in great shape, green grass everywhere. Rough was cleaner than the last time we wee here. New carts. Yay! Staff are super friendly!

Good value for the dollar. Completed within 4 hours though the back nine was slower play. Perfect weather!

Course is in great condition. Greens are lightening FAST!

Perfect weather, challenging course, tough greens. I will be back.
