Chastain Park Golf Course

This is a solid course for some challenging holes. However not too challenging. It’s maintained well and it’s a great value. It’s probably the best city owned course in Atlanta

Though it had not rained for a couple of days, it was "cart path only" for ALL 18 holes. A lot of the tee boxes were well off the path and a few were well up hill from the path. Also a lot of the :sweet spots to drive to in the fairways were well away from the path. So WAY too much walking to get to your next shot. Had not known there would be that much walking. And yes I'm a senior. Then too a lot of the fairways aerated so those fairways stopped your drives from running out.. Was not a fun round.

club house was empty...no one to greet me. Had to sign up with 2 guys behind glass 30 feet away.

No water/gatorade/snacks to buy in the clubhouse and no water to drink on the course.

Very disappointment, and not worth the green fees. Will never come back.

Course should have been closed the day after a super rainy day. No reason for course to be open if there are lakes beside greens and covering the entire fairway of multiple holes.

Course layout is always a nice place. Course was extremely dry. No amenities available on a beautiful Saturday. Recommend getting a food truck or something. Also fairways were extremely dry. Balls on 18 rolled from middle of fairway into penalty area. Maybe put a net up if they are trying to conserve water. Players should not have to lose a ball for a perfect drive. Also provide better instructions for parking on booking confirmation.

Arrived 25m prior to tee time and told by Ambassador backed up 35 m.

Took 2 hrs to play 6 holes.

Will I play there again.

I don't think you can find a better value than this course. $30 for 18 holes with a cart is amazing. If this course had a driving range I would never leave. Typically this course is in really good condition for what you pay. The pin placement is very difficult at times...almost impossible. But this last time I played the greens were like concrete. The ball would not stop or hold. If you didn't make it in the cup you were a gonner. Still a fun course to play.

First time playing this course and because of the neighborhood my expectations were a little higher. The course was fine, nothing to write home about. The level of difficulty was nice because it was harder than my personal skillset so I appreciate the water hazards everywhere and the strategizing that was forced upon me. It was early February so there's an excuse for the grass being dead but I can't say the tee boxes were that maintained. The clubhouse was absolutely empty and still using COVID as an excuse to offer nothing. I get that merch isn't a high seller and storage for course is a pain, but try a little. Turn a TV on or something. Paid 1.50 for a bottle of water from a cooler full of lukewarm water, no ice. At the end of the day, I'm not complaining. It was a beautiful Saturday and I'd play there again.
