Emerald Lakes Golf Course

Very nice 9 hole course. Large enough to work on both your short and long game. Nice water features and good grounds keeping. Some greens are challenging. Nice driving range for warm up. No real snack bar at facility. Have always found players at course to be friendly and patient.

Great 9 hole couse! Always in good shape and you can get a quick 9 in for a good price. Practice area is good too.

Everybody at this golf course has been amazing over the last year friendly courteous kind and understanding everybody at this facility is top-notch and I recommend it to anybody who's new to golf who would like to get into a nice place where people are going to educate you and offer you help if you need it

To start. They were sending golfers out with no time in between. So by the time we ended up at the third Teebox there was three groups waiting at the Teebox. Upon arrival we had paid for 18 holes. Upon starting the back nine we were told we would have to wait 30 minutes before teeing off. There was a groundskeeper running around on a quad with two dogs. One of his dogs decided to swim in the pond chasing a goose. While he drove around the pond at high speeds screaming at his dog. I will not be back

Had a good time, but group in front of us was 5 deep and slow. Did not offer to let us play through.

Precision use of your drivers/fairways along the way. Replay to qualify as 18 holes. Lots of creative iron useage. Recommend to walk the course Range and putting/ chip area are perfect for all to take advantage Emerald is my favorite 9 hole

If you have a straight game you’ll do well on this course. If you don’t have a straight game you’ll still enjoy the round and you’ll be challenged. The greens were in excellent condition as usual but the fairways were a little on the rough side. A lot of bald spots on the fairways and you tell they are being watered so it might be the type grass. The sand traps were in great shape and if you like to see nice sand in a trap, you’ll love these traps. They actually use real sand, not the dirt / sand mixture I’m used to playing in. Overall a great course at a great price.

Greens, fairways and bunkers always in excellent condition. Such a good value that sometimes pace of play can be slow so take your time.

We played Emerald Lakes on March 2. We told them we were going to play 18 holes . We were told after we finished the front 9 to go inside and pay for the back 9. Only one problem, we were told we would have to wait for 3 to 4 groups who were waiting to start their front 9 . I have played golf for 63 years and have never seen this before. Normally the starter alternates groups who are making the turn with the groups just staring. The last time I played Emerald Lakes it took over 5 hours to play because they were allowing groups of 5 and 6 to play.

As I returned to this course after being away from them for a while due to COVID pandemic, it was a wonderful surprise to play the game in an ideal atmosphere, especially in my own backyard. The conditions are great all around: tee boxes, fairways, fast greens without much divots and the bunkers. The lakes and the ponds are clean and clear. I wish the course was an 18 hole full course. Certainly there are enough land spaces to expand the course to a championship course. It would be a lot healthier and safer for the proud City of Elk Grove than other profit-centered and waste-money-at all cost-oriented projects and constructions.

Emerald Lakes Golf Course in Elk Grove is an amazing 9 hole, par 33 course in Elk Grove, Ca.. The course personnel are friendly and courtesy, in the golf shop, working the driving range, and assisting with course maintenance and management. The course was in excellent shape today. Fairways green and cut, greens clean, well maintained and fast. Nice pace of play. What a great day...

Excellent course, well maintained. The day we played it was a little slow, so the marshal asked everyone to play ready ball to speed up the rate of play. Affordable and staffs are helpful. Excellent driving and putting ranges.

The staff in the pro shop were not a friendly group, it least not to new players on the course. They were friendly with what appeared to be the locals. The was fun and you pretty much used all your clubs.

I always give every location I play a couple times before I completely settle on a final decision on the course and staff.
