Emerald Lakes was a victim of a flood in 2016 but quickly recovered and was in great shape for 2017 Photo submitted by u000003849698 on 03/29/2018
Pretty good local course.
The greens here are in great shape. The layout is not bad but it’s pretty cramped but manageable nonetheless. Fun variety of holes.

Great Condition
I’ve played this course many times and never I am disappointed. The maintenance crew keeps this course green and very playable. The greens were perfect. The fairways were perfect. Not much dry spots. On the last hole before I hit my approach shot, the guy was watering the green. We all know we’re in a drought but he’s still watering the green. That shows me that they care about the way the greens are kept in top shape.

Great 9 hole course
Great place to play. Play 18 from 2 different tee boxes for a little bit more of a challenge. Some of the best greens in Sacramento. I wish it would get a restaurant/bar though. Can't wait to play again.
Great place for a quick 9.
Front desk staff could have been a little more friendly but everything else was great. Playing here again this Sunday. Clean course well taken care of.

Carts
Emerald Lakes golf course, my playing partners and I usually have a good time playing gold there. But today 6/25/2022 (Saturday) we had a tee time for 12:40. Check in was fine, the golf range was good but that is where it ended.
I asked the golf starter if they will be carts available by the start of our tee time. She stated that there will be as the golfers would be arriving in from their round. Because I seen (4-5) carts of just single people going on without playing golf to just watch people play golf.
So as our tee time came there was no carts left and there was another person waiting for a cart to go catch up and watch someone play. So we let other (2) group of players go in front of us who was walking. We didnt play because we saw no one coming up the 9th fairway with a cart(s). Today was POORLY ran.
I suggest to CALL ahead and ask to if the tee times are on time and if you are using a cart to see they are available.

Fun Golf
Emerald provides fun golf for anyone. Even high handicap golfers have a chance to score well. Just getting back to golf and had fun.

Good short course
Play this course often with my son who is learning how to play. Good learning course for your money. Will continue to play and friendly staff.

Great big 9hole
9 hole golf course that lets you play all your clubs. Plenty of long holes to air out your drivers and nice water features. Course maintenance can’t be beat.
Today’s pro shop guy could stand a little friendly training.

Beware.....
Showed the guy in the pro shop my confirmation number....
Says he can't find me in his system.....
Told me he'll let me slide this time ....
Paid 30$ to feel like a freeloader who is getting a free round....
Worst experience I've had inside a pro shop in 15yrs if golf ....

Wonderful Wake Up Course
Perfect 9 hole for a quick morning wakeup walk alone or with a friend. Easy access and friendly staff help you get on your way for a trip around one of the better short courses I've played. Emerald lakes was not always in such great shape but management over the past couple of years and the care taken to maintain and improve the grounds and modest facilities are very noticeable. Pride of ownership does them well.
I enjoy every round and most always find the fairways and greens in fine shape. Watch out for the water on the closing 4 holes....it''ll get ya!

Great course
The best thing I can say about this course, is that they take care of it better than most courses anywhere. The fairways, greens etc are in very nice shape.
